Great video. Thank you. Any suggestions if I don’t have any windows available? Do they NEED light in your opinion? I guess I could get some grow lights? Thanks! (First year gardener)
I don't have a greenhouse and my garage gets too cold during the winter. Can I keep the cuttings and then the potted plants under grow lights until the weather is nice enough to plant in my garden beds?
We were there with 2 Mustangs and enjoyed the show. It was also great to have Brad Kubat from KOWZ radio there with a live broadcast and announcing through out the show.
I think it will harm beneficial insects and probably worms too by sprinkling it on the ground like that, If I were to use it I prefer putting this mixture inside of a container with holes in it, so the ants will climb in and take the bait with no need to sprinkle it everywhere. Much safer.
Hey, thanks for sharing the knowledge. Borax does work great, only thing I do different is soak toilet paper in that mix with hot water and spread pieces around ant trails as well. But I still have aphids problem. Unfortunately I cant order ladybugs, plus I grow in a greenhouse. I've caught a few dozens myself, but they they just leave rather soon. Neem oil/soap spray does work for some time, but aphids always come back later, even if there are 0 on the plants (I spray and check every damn leave, both sides). I suppose they just come out of the ground, but how do I deal with that? Any insight is appreciated, its been hell since may.
@@harlots_hello8734 its very hard especially in a greenhouse. Make sure there isn't any unwanted vegetation on the ground for them to breed on & double check plants on the ground (I have melon vines). I stopped using neem oil because they seem to become more immune to it after the second & 3rd generation offspring. I didn't do much except spray down the plants with water pressure from the hose before the Ladybugs. It's a battle, especially with the very mild winter we had here last year. Many people I've talked to have them bad this year in our area & many had never had a problem before...
Great video! First time grower here. I'm going to try this. The first half of the season my potted pepper plants were producing really nice peppers. Now they seem to all be turning yellow and looking sad with really small peppers. Do you ever fertilize the peppers with anything else other than the Epsom salts and fish fertilizer?
@@lunapuckles2577 yellowing leaves is most likely a Nitrogen deficiency. I also like to give each plant a handful of "Coop Poop" organic chicken manure granular once a month, Its a 2-4-3 on the NPK scale so a nice balanced organic fertilizer that the plants uptake when needed. I also have another video showing how I make compost tea out of granular fertilizer. Thanks for watching!
