@@jeandalton7108 That’s awesome! You’re going to love the Mardi Gras! She’s a beautiful vessel! Believe it or not, my IPhone 13 Pro Max, selfie stick and a microphone still provide excellent 4K HD quality videos! 🤣
I stayed in a Casita about 2 years ago. I found that it was a great concept; Yet it was very outdated, dampness permeated the room ( it is on the water), even the bed was very damp. The Pillows were old and flat. They may have updated them but I never had a desire to go back. This unit seems to be a little updated.
@@roseharrell1021 Hello! Thank you for your comment! I really enjoyed the Casita concept. The room was extremely comfortable and I liked the loft style as well. I didn’t noticed any dampness but it might have been updated like you said.
Excellent Video, Great Explanation. You really sold us on this ship! The 48 hr. Bread and Butter Pudding reminds me of Puerto Rico's "Budin". Thanks for info. on the shows. continued success. Subscribed 🙂
@@TravelCakeTrips Thank you for your kind comment! I really appreciate it! That pudding was delicious! My best wishes for you guys as well! I’ve subscribed to your channel!
@@CruisingwithEdwin Thanks Edwin, I'm from Puerto Rico, so that pic you showed made me want some of that delicious Budin. We definitely will add this to our future trips.
@@TravelCakeTrips I’m originally from Panama. It was very similar to the Budín and it was warm and so tasty! One of my favorite deserts on the Islander. You can also follow my instagram account: instagram.com/cruisingwithedwin. I post a lot of pictures too.
@@Jdpacificmackerel The Pyramid was gorgeous! If you ever get a chance to go to Memphis or to Springfield, MO to see the National Headquarters Store you should do it!
I would give Carnival Radiance a generous three stars. Their biggest 0:18 faux pas is not offering umbrellas in the pool areas, so after 10 minutes in the roasting sun, there’s no escape, and you have to run back inside. To me this is unconscionable. I found 90% of the food to be bland and overcooked. There were a few exceptions, but not many.
@@johnlylemusic Thank you for your comments. Yes, the Carnival Radiance is one of the older ships from the fleet. Carnival refurbished it in 2021 but there are areas to improve. I cruised on it on January 2024 and I’ve found that the food options were reasonable for a short 3-4 night cruise.
I’ve booked a cruise on this ship in September 2024. Maybe the cruise director will still be there. I’ve cruised many years and I’ve never had a female cruise director. Thank you Ed for the info. I’m looking forward to seeing your other vlogs.
@@mickalwilson8804 That’s great! You’ll have a great time on the Islander. I believe that Zee-Jay is taking a break in September. But I’m sure that they’ll have another cool Cruise Director. Many more fun videos coming soon!
@@ryanmatthew511 I know that the food doesn’t look the best in the pictures but it was tasty! The Fins and Islander Dining Room both had much better food than I anticipated.
You have a very positive attitude and outlook we can tell .. My wife Amelia and I just got back from our cruise on the carnival Mardi Gras and stayed in the ocean suite as well for the first time via casino 🎰.. we loved it .. the added room was amazing and made a huge difference in our experience!.. new subscriber here .. God bless you Edwin and your loved ones and look forward to your videos 👍🔥🚢🔥❤️😎
@@stevesnellgrove1518 Thank you so much for your comment! I really appreciate it! I’m glad to hear that you guys had a good time on the Mardi Gras! I’m also so happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the videos. More fun videos coming soon!
@@darleneeisenhower2193 Yes, it can be. According to a note on the Margaritaville at Sea website: “All King Beds can be separated into 2 Twin Beds upon request.” And it was super comfortable as well.
Way too big, too many people, and it feels like they tried to fit too much stuff on one ship. We didn't like it. We sailed with Virgin recently, and we won't be going back to carnival....ever.
@111marcie Hello! The Golf Cart excursion sounds fun! Grand Turk is a small island so it be will easy to tour. Now, I read that this excursion lasts only 2 hours. I recommend that you check the Island Highlights with Local Flavors excursion as well. This one lasts 3.5 hours and they give you 2 hours at Governor’s Beach which is great by the way. This beach is more private. Also, they take you to see the Space Capsule area, Grand Turk sign and to the Turks & Caicos National Museum. And as a bonus you get to go to the souvenir shacks and food trucks right next to the Museum. The local food there is awesome. Finally, I’ve not personally eaten at Jack’s Shack but it’s very popular to get lunch and a drink.
@111marcie One more tip: make sure to go to Bao Ice Cream! This is an ice cream parlor from the Dominican Republic and their ice cream flavors and popsicles are delicious!
@mytigereyez Carnival Radiance goes far out enough for one not being able to see land but there’s also parts of the cruise when you’ll see it. For example, on our way back from Ensenada I was able to see land near San Diego. It was beautiful!
