The problem with powerscalers are they most of them are stupid and dont know what they’re talking about 🫠 they almost constantly downplay things they dont get/understand or completely ignore em. Dbz fans. They also use terms they very much don’t understand like 4D and higher “Ds” and *YES* i do since unlike them I actually did the proper research instead on glazing the vs wiki which is just made by other ignorant people. And to top it off most of them dont even have enough info on the opposing character 💀 Please if you dont get it stfu and dont debate. You make powerscaling unfun.🙏
Yeah you're completely right, sometimes I think it's biased but when i think about it that's probably not the case, although sometimes it's almost funny hie misinformed they must be, like, Alien x losing to green lantern? That's just dumb, especially because alien x doesn't erase people from reality in a way that makes them dissolve like a thanos snap, they just get erased no process for it they just are gone almost if not immediately, it doesn't take time.
Ngl the writing for Sonic feels like it ridin off how popular it was to dislike Sonic. Which is fine for comedy but isnt for someone tryna to do a character debate.
I love how you said, "Here we go" like you know this is the section thats most likely to get shit. But on a serious note. I kinda hate how people treat Death Battle as some sort of definitive statement on the subject matter.
I have some issue with this video but overall I agree but I still don’t like the death battle in my opinion the research is very questionable and they do tend to make some pretty big oversights. A big reason there first death battle of Goku vs Superman wasn’t liked was cause of that and was debunked by many people online which people never seem to mention. And the secondly many people act like death battles interpretations of how are fight would Goku as if it’s the definitive way the fight would go and that’s it even with all the inconsistencies that along with the characterizations yeah I say it’s pretty easy to see why a lot of people don’t like them. I will say in recent yeasts they have gotten better though.
Like I said in the video I think it's okay to not like Death Battle because of the research even though I personally think it's a bit silly since I feel they bring a lot more to the table than just the research. I also think that it's not death battles fault that people interpret their fights as "definitive" the only section of the show that implies the team thought the episodes were definitive answers were the first couple of seasons which are nearly over a decade old with the first two GvS being some of their first attempts to do something that grand in scale.
I just started laughing after that unexpected phrase "SONIC IS BACK BABY!-". 😂 I just watched the next video about "versus discusions" and respect to the characters and their franchises, and after seeing how good and meaningful this video is too, I am really pleasant with such channel! Will be grateful for future video and the ones which I'm going to watch now, thank you!)
Well Archie sonic for sure and even game sonic is much faster then goku but he’d have some issues getting passed ultra instinct and if he gets hi once it’s pretty much over.
@@brianlaureuspretty much, in sonic generations, sonic fixes time by just running, and Eggman broke time to defeat sonic but was defeated eventually by sonic.
My take on all of this is that people fail to realize that, especially since the movies started up, new people are coming into the main series and forming their own opinions on the games. For example: I haven't really liked Generations or Mania since I first played them. Just, I gave them a chance, didn't like them. But I do like Secret Rings, which the majority hates(because they suck at it), and find 06 to be okay. I didn't change my mind on these games, I just have a different opinion that is coming into the fold for the first time.
Except when you actually do see the same people and same accounts make directly contradictory opinions, the "hivemind mindset" that you complain about actually makes a lot more sense. The Sonic fanbase absolutely does have a problem with indecisiveness, contradiction, and constantly begging for something just to reject it as soon as they get it. Observe long enough and you'll realize it IS the same people.
Like I said in the video I don't think an entire fanbase should be labeled a certain way cause of certain people even if it's a large amount. You say it's the same people who have that behavior but that doesn't really equate to the entire fanbase in my opinion. Like I said in the video there's a part of the fanbase that grew up on different parts of the franchise and those recent fans are now able to state their opinions and the amount of people in the fanbase can also produce people who are contradictory and don't know what they want for the franchise
This is a pretty well made video. It demonstrates the problem when a series has been going for 20+ years and has millions of fans. Generalization will never work well, since people grew up with different games or got introduced to different games in the series. An example being Street Fighter. I could never guess what a Street Fighter fan wants. I really like Ultra Street Fighter IV, but that shouldn’t be my universal guess on what a fanbase is or want’s because I like it. The same with Sonic. I love Sonic & the Black Knight, but my friend thinks it’s worse than Secret Rings.
8:11 Suddenly LowTierGod 💀 *fr though, I definitely agree with the stuff you said in the video, seeing how much the fandom opinion switches can be baffling and somewhat comical at times for sure*
Fronteirs Pre-release footage didn’t Get Better they just showed more and more of the game. Take a Look at the Original Reveal that people had so many issues with and they’re still present to this day yet fans never acknowledge them. Totally agree on Frontiers. I got over the Hype around January 2023 and started to notice every single flaw with the game, both big and small. When I started to Share my opinion (WHILE GIVING TONS OF REASONS AND EXAMPLES) I got Dogpiled on every single time. I was told to shut up, that I hate Sonic, or that I’m just trying to be different. Thankfully you don’t get dogpiled on these days for not praising Frontiers like it’s the second coming but it’s still not a very popular opinion to have.
The truth is that the people who had the original opinions on those games grew up and stopped being online as much, whereas the younger ones after them grew up and just started using the Internet. I feel that's why it looks like the community "changed its mind."
While I am a fan of Sonic I don't consider myself a Sonic fan, back in the 2000s I use to chat with other Sonic fan while some were cool the others were either self centered or crazy or both. Don't get me started on how they react to Sonic Underground, the many "long lost siblings" is enough to make you think Queen Aleena slept around.
Honestly, great video, man! Yea, I noticed the 'Sonic Mindset' phenomenon a while back but just shrugged it off as a general franchise thing until I looked further into it and came up with a pretty similar conclusion to yours
I think sonic color is a special case though. It has good gameplay. But the main criticism is all I need to say is baldy nose hair. The sonic forces lost momentum towards the end the DLC helped Ish. And mania I don't hear anything bad about it. Actually, I haven't heard anything about it in a while. Someone should probably check on it. The point is typically these games have one consistent flaw. They're not bad just what could have been sticks out like a sore thumb in time.
I only find this funny because there's a lot of people in the sonic community have started saying sonic mania is mid resentmentl. So for the love of that better have ben an intentional joke.
The problem with Sonic is 90s fans: Sonic's stupid friends 00s fans: Rushed development cycle 10s fans: They are constantly trying new shit 20s fans: They are trying to apease older fans
