I never understood Bobby's resentment of Pam's leaving him in Christopher (When Cliff told him about Jordan spotting Pam, Bobby told him Pam has to return of her own free will). Bobby was a very compassionate & understanding man,based on the explosion, Pam had to have suffered 3rd degree burns over 90% of her body, when the bandages were removed, she had to look hideous, and there really was no adjustment period b/c she was not a candidate for skin grafting and it was highly insulting to burn victims to have Pam cameo in the following season, with minimal scarring, looking fine (I don't care how rich you are, 3rd-degree burn victims will NEVER look the same or normal.
Patricia was always at the root of She Ellen’s problems. Even Sue Ellen really couldn’t tolerate her. One of the best scenes this season was her finally setting Patricia straight.

Facts to know: Patrick Duffy phoned Larry Hagman to find out how can the producers give him a pay raise and they refused. This is why we are seeing the "Dream" season. As soon as he noticed that there wasn't any money coming from "DALLAS" he had no other move to call up Larry Hagman and ask him to go to the writers and producers to see if he (Larry Hagman) can give him (Patrick Duffy) a raise. He (Patrick Duffy) finally received that pay raise when he is in the bathroom and Pamela Barnes - Ewing goes there to see who it is and finds Bobby telling her: "Good morning". the updated version of Dallas including Judith Light was and is really sensational, except the people or person's at the helm were with part of the flying monkeys so it did not get a chance to launch it's reboot. It goes to show you, that not only are good employees truely needed, but good bosses are totally needed too to make it work right. a show that is worth it's salt. JR spoke about Sue Ellen before, when she was in the hospital after having John Ross. He’s always loved her the most. He just never knew HOW to love her. By the time he actually “gets it”, it’s too late. He’s old, alone, and sick. But this is the Dream. In the season after the Dream he actually admitted to Sue Ellen, after breaking it off with Mandy, that nobody could ever measure up to her. He tells Sue Ellen that she had his respect. His problem is he didn’t know how to put her before business. Business was always going to come first and everything he did in the name of business, including womanizing ladies in order to fit whatever plan he had, would also take precedence. But he figured it out later that he was wrong, hence his letter to her prior to his death.
