Hey guys welcome to my channel! I post random videos that I think are funny so come relax, laugh at my stupidity, and subscribe to join the ~BaBY boGz~ family!
Hi Brett, UC pre-med here. I understand your reasoning for not pursuing medicine. To be honest, medicine is a different path for everybody and I personally know many physicians who traveled or did something completely different for a few years after undergrad before going back to medical school. Becoming a physician takes tremendous sacrifice and as you said, if you truly aren't passionate it was probably smart to decide to pursue something else. Great video!
I really wish more classes were like IYA, I'm a freshman in Cohort 11 and the course work is genuinely the most fun I've had in school. Good luck on your pitch! :))
Great video, Brett! Could you elaborate on the systematic problems you saw that affects patients and physicians that deterred you from medicine? I'm curious to know more about how the healthcare system negatively affects both parties to get a new perspective on physician life!
im a HS senior and this video is honestly so refreshing! its comforting to know that you've found something you love to do, even if it doesnt align with your college major :'D best of luck with the pitch!
i’ve grown with you through my own college years…insane!! years ago your videos helped me decide between usc vs another school. i appreciate your transparency and thank you for making your videos. side note your humor is top tier bestie
Current senior here at USC now, I watched your original video when I was a senior in highschool going through the college admissions process! Both are great vids, bravo! Very cool to see the growth that ocurred from your first to fourth year here. Videos like this are one of the rare good aspects of the internet. I'm blessed to have been able to encounter this. I hope you are well these days as an alumni!!! : )
I come from a low-income background and it’s hard to completely hate on the school because I received generous financial aid and I’m just grateful for the opportunity, but there were some serious issues with the school during my time from 2012-2015. Super toxic administration and that bled into the culture of exclusivity among students. I had to rely on the city of LA to meet people and network instead of campus. The school felt like it cared more about its rankings/business at the expense of its student communities. If I hear students wanting to go there, do it if you get “reasonable” financial support but don’t become bogged down by massive debt. It’s really not worth it, I promise. And you can get a great education at affordable state schools.
