George, your comment on what you would tell your younger self truly resonated with me! I know so many people who were trying to "reverse engineer this master plan" feeling a profound sense that others expected it. Thanks for this!
I found this book a bit disappointing, but to be fair, I have several degrees in the relevant areas and worked in mental health for 30 years. I am impressed at how John finds answers and empathy on his show. So I had high expectations of what I would learn. It was interesting hearing John's own experiences, but I thought that most people knew the problems of modern society (eg having lots on social media friends but no-one to help change your tyre). So I felt I wasted my time reading the first 100 or so pages. Again the idea of how thoughts affect us and the benefits of changing them isn't new, and I thought it would already be familiar to those seeking self-improvement.. What did make the book worthwhile though was the idea that we have stories from the past/present that influence how we feel and behave and that these can be limiting. We find it easier to recognise our thoughts than to sit down and acknowledge these stories and how they have affected us. Working on those stories, I hope, will help me improve whatever life I have left, and I am thankful to the book for that. But I could have learnt this from a far shorter piece of work. However, I like John and what he does, and he does need to earn a living to keep going. So I am pleased I helped in that area.
Yeah you do hafta have debt to have a credit score. You need credit to get anywhere in life...to buy a car, to rent an apartment, even to buy a house. I know one elderly couple who paid 40k cash for their home 20 or 30 yesrs ago. However i dont know many other people who have that kind of money. The average joe doesnt have a crap ton of money just laying around....hence loans.
I have read Brian's book four times and have given away 14 copies so far. He is the ONLY pastor that I have identified with. I have always felt misunderstood n the church because I don't identify with the culture of keeping you safe from yourself Brian's message communicates to me that he accepts men for who I am and meets me where I am at. Thank you. Great podcast interview.
7:50 Like the widow...use what you have. Ordinary people doing the extraordinary She changed to economic landscape of her territory- more business owners were created from her influx of oil. Her sons were her employees- similar to Chick-fil-A model. Children help work it; turn it into franchise.
2:22 Very encouraging! I grew up near Greenbriar Mall🙌🏾 Chick-fil-A' my favorite! Love how she's wearing the colors, Red and White earbuds 😄 Thank you for posting!
Maybe 10 months ago we did not know this was not finished, but it will if they, the psychos have their way our lives will be greatly affected and not for better, this is a spiritual war! Support is so taken up right now, there are queues, i don't want to see a 2 minute psychologist and pay them a lot of money and its not enough anyway! This is an impossible time for many! I have spirituality to help me and I am an artist would be but it's not bad, they are trying to send us mad, this is a serious attack on our mental, spiritual, physical health, its deliberate and if you think otherwise I would say wake up, you are not paying attention or you are deluded!❤❤❤from Australia!
I'm sorry but i have to not agree on a few things, SARS is still circulating, and getting worse, experts are expecting a virulent form because of immune pressure also the farmers are being shut down because these psychos don't want us to eat real food anymore, if you were vaxxed you will not be able to fight anything off, 3 times or more, i would reckon less, in America they are secreting in chinese men to do something, this is the Darien ? something, the expert no. 1 in virology Geert Vanden Bossche is saying this virulent strain will wipe out millions, and it goes on and on, i think a lot of young and older see no future, many have lost their wives when they got sick, many are sick, they lost their job, so there is plenty of reason to be depressed, for anyone not in a hunky dory position, i am lucky i have dosh, i never vaxxed, i never had many friends, I live in a beautiful area of Australia, i lost my ragdollcat a week ago i was grief stricken, i am suffering fr isolation. I know a lot about this thing, i am privileged, i leave it there!❤❤❤❤😂😂😂
Hi Phil.. Happy to see your life is doing well way up in Oregon. Always wondered where Phil Comer , our best Drum Major ended up. Your life is truly blessed.
Such a great interview. The fact that both of you are so willing to reveal your own personal mental journeys helps create a world where it's 'okay' to admit brokenness and shines a light on the journey to wholeness. Thanks so much.
@@L3leadership 😂I’m sorry 😂😂. I realized it after I watched it. I was just like is this a trick 😆 when he recommend you and your podcast it all came together 😂😂😂. I’ve been tricked before!! 😆
Raise your kids how you want. Don't listen to anyone (unless abusive, obviously). We don't need another spoiled, fragile, uneducated generation like the one blocking cars on freeways. TEACH THEM!
