Horrible by gluing everything together with porcelain hard glue that has no ability to flex with and the amount of glue also works as filler for the gaps that result when externally made bulkheads, stringer or complete modules met a partly hand build hull with high tolerances.... Thank goodness I broke-even on the 1 neel I owned for a year, it took 8 months to sell it, what horrible build quality!

I found the trimarans the most interesting of all the personal boats. Seems more stable, less likely to flip and could be designed with slimmer hulls for more efficient travel with less drag. But i’m not a sailor. If i ever entered that mode of travel (after a needed learning curve), my search would end with a manageable smaller vessel, folding arms for trailering, and room for a maximum of four persons (one berth). As an older person, i would want a small gallery, head, solar powered electric engine, and the ability to stand up in the cabin. The most interesting vessel i found thus far is the Astus 22.5, is reasonably priced for a retired middleclass person who doesn’t plan to live aboard the vessel.
I own her sister ship. (S/V Nahoon) Just finishing a total rebuild from the ground up including totally new galley and saloon. launching in a few weeks. Boat will be like brand new :)
Nice design or an older cat, but the heads before the cabins is a pretty awkward solution. The horrible curtains and overall finishes appers to be rather beaten. A bit of work and the valuation would rise.
Aside from the ridiculous fly bridge and cramped engine compartment (better engine access on Neel 47 and 51, strangely), I really like the Neel 65. Now, if only they would completely delete the fly bridge in favor of a helm like the 51 has, which would allow lowering of the sail plan by about 10 feet and thus improving power and stability under sail, and un-clutter that engine compartment and make it as clean as the 47 and 51, they'd have a perfect 65-foot trimaran. As it is, it's a dock queen. The 51 is the one I'd take around the world.

So much to not like about this.Its as though they have saved money by throwing seating everywere.Looks like 40 people at least can sit down,on a 4 cabin boat.So normal even on a sail .what do you do about all the life jackets and life rafts.And for the price it looks cheap .You can buy a sunreef 60 for the same price.at least 90% of the time you are at anchor.i know what i would rather be sitting on.And if i want performance.there are far better options out there.At that price and faster.anyone who buys one of these needs to be sent to the doctor.
I agree with the amount of seating. Looks like a lot of wasted space. I'd configure it differently and sure anyone can customize the layout to suit individual requirements.

It is nice but they did not take into account things like where to put the water scoters, dive tanks on the stern, transom how about docking controls on the stern. Why Garmin, that is designed for power vesicles. The hard top they way it is designed you can not put on solar panels. Only short people can use the loungers on the fly bridge. Only 1 deck lazaret in the stern. Not sold on it for a 2 year waiting list.
Dear Tylor, there are a lot of shipyard and ex-factory options which can be added. We will try to answer all your interrogations below: The water scooters (jet skis?) weigh over 300kg each so they could only go on the hydraulic platform, along with a lightweight tender. There is room in various places for dive tanks and also for a compressor. Docking control can be added as an option, with a power handles on the stern in the cockpit. Regarding Garmin, they're well reputed, but you can also choose as an option to fit another navigation equipment on the vessel. There is a lot of room to fit solar panels on the hardtop, and we've had a client fitting solar panels on their Samana 59 hardtop. Our team members fit on the sun loungers. we have no idea what are the exact measures but they're quite generous. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like us to check with the shipyard or come try during a boat show. Regarding storage, the one deck lazaret is quite enough for most people, as there is a lot of storage everywhere else on the yacht, including forepeaks which you can use as storage or crew quarters. if they got rid of the highbridge, and cover the roof with solarpanels and get the sail more down, i would seriously be interested... get the wheels down on both sides. That would be a nice live onboard Trimaran.
