To prevent drying out, corrosion, dust, dirt, prevent friction and just prolong the lifespan. By applying the grease it will flush out the contaminants
Yes this particular Start-X is from 2020-2024 with PUSH Start …. If you have a Key which I think you should not then you would buy the one for ignition key remote start
Last year I had it done professionally. I will be posting a video soon how I did it myself for this year. It was woolwax, and this year I used wool wax. My next video is on that…. Now I know why they change so much… it’s a lot of work … haha
@@RobbyMozzy Perfect.... just bought a new 2024 SR5 and a 6pack of Fluid Film...planning on DIY once I have the time to crawl under and shower myself in lanolin..
Yea I got a 12 pack thinking I would only use 6-8 cans …. And I think I over did it because I used all 12 … lol…. Theres a lot of spots that are hard to reach … I hope you got the 360 extension hose…. It helps in tight places… also hit the top of the frame and inside of any metal areas that there are holes and inside the frame … take down your spare tire.…try not to spray anybody of electrical connection’s good luck ….
Thanks for posting this video, I'm constantly fighting rust on my 4Runner ( live in the rust belt ) I never thought about this situation, until I reviewed your post.
@@RobbyMozzy I look forward to seeing it. I've been using woolwax undercoating for the past 4 years and still find areas that I missed. Unfortunately I purchased my 4Runner used, it was 3 years old and from the rust belt, and never treated. Thanks again appreciate it.
Man. I want to try this. I did the auto start because of your other video. Thank you. I love my auto start. I am definitely considering the mirrors now.
I’m so glad you like it…. Thank you again! You can do it!….. just take your time, take many photos when you start taking things apart. If you have any questions just let me know ..
No, these door bowl lights, they look cool so I’ll see if it’s with it .. www.4runnerlifestyle.com/products/ktjo-door-bowl-lighting-4runner?variant=43646159716597¤cy=USD&gadid=&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAApzXQxYUkpqgiVbd9L7buL7tikVkO&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3bm3BhDJARIsAKnHoVWL7C18IQiFUv0wi6jwrsEag26nICrXvHqJS4_pW4y69TIlefYs114aAt_tEALw_wcB
I quickly looked at Mobokey…. It looks like you have to splice into the wire harness …. I like the plug and play products this way I can always go back to OEM. If I ever sell it the 4Runner next owner can take out what i did and bring it back to stock.
@@RobbyMozzy Thanks Robby. You are awesome. I'm also thinking about getting to share my cars. I also do Turo. I don't see any other devices that could do that. If there is any other devices please let me.
You are very welcome! If I was you, I know that there are devices that have real time GPS with Kill switches built in…. But most likely it has a monthly cost to it …. I would do something like that, it’s a small price to pay if someone doesn’t want to bring back your vehicle….i use my vehicle for personal use, and I have a hidden apple Tracker in my car….I’m thinking of putting a kill switch in, but I’ll see
Yes you did …. I’m going to do a video on that soon …. Here is the web site where I got the kit from www.ktjo4x4.com/collections/toyota-4runner-vehicles/products/power-folding-mirrors-abs-for-toyota-4runner-2014-2023
You actually read my mind. This is my next project. I have been trying to decide which brand. Wanted the easiest to do. Thank you so much. You have really saved me a several hundred dollars with your videos. I am ordering this now and going to try this. Your videos are very detailed.
I am really happy to help, I was actually thinking of getting the range extender for this remote start. When I go to work I park further than the range of the OEM key. I’ll probably do that install later on.
Here is it, I plan on getting this in a month. a.co/d/ikbDSqZ Also I since I live in NY I want to do Fluid Film on my car…..I’m thinking ether the spray cans or buy the spray gun with the air tank…. We will see
@@RobbyMozzy that’s awesome. I may need one of those too. I’m going to see if I can start mine at work when I get it installed. If not, this will be next as well. I’ll be interested in how that fluid film goes. I bet that adds years on vehicles in NY. That sounds like it could involve lots of work. I hope you film some of that too. Thanks for all the info. I’m pretty new to some of this stuff.
Here is the web site I bought the kit from…. www.ktjo4x4.com/collections/power-folding-mirrors-products/products/power-folding-mirrors-abs-for-toyota-4runner-2014-2023 If you would like for me to do a video showing how I did it let me know…. If you are in NY area we can meet up and I can help you do it
I’ll probably do a video how I did it and I’ll take apart my mirror, the hardest part was the wires that are in the mirror. I hade to take them out of the plastic one by one and put them in the same exact order. Take lots of pictures when you do that
Solid video. Thanks for making and sharing. Only thing I would say is to consider is leaving the video at real time speed instead of sped up on the detailed important parts like when plugging in the cables or showing where the tabs are when removing the light panels
Good solid video. Thank you for making and sharing it. Great job showing the whole process in detail and capturing each part. This will definitely help someone.
I do not know but order new ones from Yamaha Parts Store, sometimes someone can sell parts close by where you live on Facebook marketplace. I would just order new ones. Good Luck!
Yes you can to protect the outside of the frame. What about the inside? The water will go into the frame and travel to the rear tire to draw out or it will drain out along the way. This is a easy fix to pro-long the life of your frame
Check video at 5:26. Looks like the plastic ring from oil container fell into funnel. Hopefully, you caught that. Great tutorial though. Thanks for posting.
