Late to seeing this video (as it's only just been recommended) but want to say one build I enjoy on Prismatic Titan is Unbreakable and Diamond Lance. With the changes incoming, that build may end up becoming stronger. But it shouldn't have taken Bungie this long to make these changes. BoW would've at least given us some sort of survivability unlike what Knockout does. Got left by the wayside for far too long while the other two got something awesome.
I really want us to be the melee and ammo class but instead we got the same melee ults that barely even hit bosses aspects that are trash except banner of war imagine having banner with shield throw then the exotic that gives 2 shields
You get unlimited grapple by grappling to a tangle point, you can either use navigator to spawn it in directly, or you can also grapple to a regular tangle for the same effect.
They should’ve just let us have ALL aspects and fragments on Prismatic. Destiny 2 should just be a game that’s unbridled fun. Think about it: Banner of War with Roaring Flames would be RETARDED OVERPOWERED. Sol Invictus, Into The Frey, Offensive Bulwark and Tectonic Harvest would be so fun to swap between for crazy ability regeneration. You could rework existing fragment like “Whisper of Conduction” to be “Facet of Conduction”, and change it to fit more with Prismatic. Facet of Conduction- Nearby Stasis Shards, Firesprites or Void Breaches track to your position. Facet of Starvation- Collecting an orb of Power, Void Breach, Firesprite, Ionic Trace, Stasis Shard or achieving a multi-kill with a tangle grants Devour. Facet of Generation - Dealing hamate grant grenade energy. This benefit is increased while you have a light buff or Transcendent. Facet of Empyrean- Achieving multi-ability kills extends the duration of your light buffs by one second. Facet of Brilliance- Achieving a Precision kill against a target under the effects of Blind, Volatile, Scorch, Slow or Sever will create an elemental explosion, spreading that coresponding debuff to other nearby targets. Those are just five of the… like what… FIFTY fragments we have… probably more.
It’s fun to meme and say Bungie hates titans & their crayons but seeing the difference in prismatic kits between classes made me give up the idea that Bungie will bring Titan back to a good place. After the synthoceps lunge nerf it feels like Bungie doesn’t want to go near titans, even with a 10ft glaive.
I’m still on the side that we should have been able to switch and swap literally every aspect and everything from all subclasses, all you need to do is Ban it in PVP
I just started using this build because of this ignition build. One question... I was told that radiant overrides the buff you get from the Hazardous Propultion exotic chest armor. I have only been using the build for a few days, so I'm not sure if this is true. Either way, thank you kindly for sharing... new sub. 🍻
This really is above and beyond, the world needs more people like you. Amazing job and im sure i speak for many when i say videos like this are highly appreciated by many. Thankyou for the hard work and effort you put into this 💪💪💪
When I experimenting with Prsimatic Titan I just feel like I'm handicapping myself not running the mentioned meta combination Back in Forsaken I really like running HoIML with Middle Void Titan, it is fun blowing shit up and volitile used to gives grenade energy so it's a self feeding loop and I enjoy thunderstorm grenade too, then they nerfed HoIML. I thought Prismatic can bring that fun spaming back with trancendent but after so many tries I just can't find anything that work well, I always have to give something up and that's ruining the fun.
I juat feel like literally no aspects fit other than knockout/con. Drengyrs lash? Ok I guess I can kill my momentum to debuff like 4 targets max with a shield that takes 30 seconds to recharge. Diamond Lance? I guess its neat but never does anything to somewhat tanky enemies, the damage is weak without rime and I'm not sustaining from shards like behemoth is. Bulwark? Yeah lets make a debuff central subclass substitute our grenade which could be used for debuffing for a wet paper towel of a shield with no debuff potential.
The problem I have with consecration is the follow up melees. I want to use the knockout punch for the leftover ads. But if I have another melee charge I’ll do the strand melee which is week ass hell.
A lot of the issues brought up in this video pertains to all the prismatic subclasses. Hunters have combo blow and golden gun but that is it. To be honest, prismatic hunter is overrated in every way, not including its dps out put. The only aspects you can choose from is stylish because every other aspect feels like a gimmick. This makes the only some what viable builds revolve around invisibility. Warlocks have the same issues as hunters and titans to a lesser extent. They have have the most verity but are still limited to be heavily shepherd towards using souls. This makes warlock boring to play due to the game playing its self. Basically, all the classes were given gimmicky aspects that have not synergy at all, not including a signal aspect per class (knock out for titans, stylish for hunters, and feed the void for warlocks). The biggest culprit of this problem is transcendence. It sets out to change the tide of battle after combing the powers of light and dark. It fails to change the tide of battle because a build normally would do this. All it ends up being used for is getting your abilities back it you mess up your gameplay loop and part of your dps rotation. The worst part about this is a vast majority of the fragments are focused on getting transcendence faster or some weird effect while transcendent. IN SUMMERY, the thing that is holding back prismatic from being a fun and viable subclass is that there is only one combo that the devs intended for you to use and to eliminate any other options by making everything else useless.
As a titan main that dont have the fuckin hoil\syntho godroll i would rage less to use the only 1 good build if bungie would fix the 150 known bug commin with that game play LIKE WHY I CANT PERFORM A NO CHARGED MELEE WHILE SLIDING IF I DONT HAVE ANY CHARGED MELEE !! ITS A 3YEARS KNOW BUG FIX THA5 SHIT AND MAYBE ILL ENJOY MY STUPID TITAN GAMEPLAY
Seeing how the game is going, well... I have no hopes for a rework neither for the new void aspect, or the prismatic subclass and even less for the class itself
Bungie is scared to make the Titan class to good because hunter mains would be upset. To them the Titan class can be good just not better than hunter. Especially in pvp.
39:09 I was thinking that Unbreakable should suppress on hit since once it runs out your void overshield is almost a non-factor for survivability (especially since you're right in the face of everything). If enemies are suppressed, then you actually have a way of getting out of there since they're not shooting at you I do agree that it should last longer at base, since if you're trying to actually block damage you have to time it really well or be standing in a DoT source Bonus unpopular opinion on Void Overshields: they're not as bad as people say, as it's effectively extra health. Since most methods of getting one gives it instantly, it's effectively an intermediate health bump between cure x1 and x2 that also allows you to regenerate your actual health even when it's getting damaged (could still use a little help though)
That's wild, cuz I feel the same with prismatic Warlock. Yeah, it's got one good build, but it just takes what other subclasses do and gives it half the power.
I been a titan main since the in d1 and prismatic titan was the main reason why i drop d2 for 2 months i started playing again new ar pretty cool but prismatic titan is genuinely so disappointing everytime i use my warlock or hunter i feel way stronger and its honestly more entertaining everything i can do on prismatic titan i can better on solar bonk build or strand titan.
Tbh shield throw its viable good on void because of demolition. This show the mayor issue with prismatic Titan, nothing synergies with anything, even some of them are anti synergies(like frenzy with diamond lance that spawns two pick ups and it takes a lot of time pick them both)
I've got a spirit of the bear and verity class item and unbreakable still doesn't really do all that well. Much rather just throw a suppressor nade and get some weaken effects going on with the fragment.
It’s a shame that the god roll class item for Titan is also just melee more and melee harder essentially. Yeah you get ur other abilities back faster too but it’s a melee build at the end of the day. That’s just titans now. Punch punch punch in different colors
Also I knew Titan was a problem when I as a Titan main looked at the full kit and could only come up with one cohesive build for them after 5 minutes while in the same time I was able to make 3 for warlock. The other two classes just have so many more opportunities to do interesting things
44:26 I think they didn’t put fleshet storm cause they compromised to concecration and both need to slide to activate and coding that together could break the game, and I mean crash to desktop break
The main problem is that all titan aspects are isolated playstyle, with dregens lash been the only one that synergies with is own element aspects. Consecration an knockout work together cause both focus melees, the others ones are their own thing without natural interactions with the others Arc titans suffers the most from this in all its aspects, but because knockout is so good alone, the other aspects don’t fall so short
Whoever at Bungie is in charge of destiny's sandbox has to see this fr. Being a Titan main myself since D1, im kind of tired of these one trick pony builds Titans get, meanwhile other builds are severely lackluster (some more than others, but still y'know). Solid points, coherently argued and explained, well done.
My problem with Titan as a whole is that they leaned too much into Punching as their main thing. Titan’s are supposed to be like the Tank class. I wish they gave more variety to the abilities and supers. Give a Strand Minigun, a barrage of Arc missles, slam a continent sized Statis crystal down. Give Titans more than punch punch and lean into the variety of Tank classes that can be possible.
I said this a few weeks back in a comment thread and got berated by people saying “get good”. Sorry, but consecration 3 times in a row but in 100 different flavors isn’t a “build”.
8:08 I think Shield Throw should have some captain America type shit and refund its energy if you catch it, and it should have less crazy bounces to go with that
Literally the fastest class at clearing gms n has amazing crowd control with prismatic grenades idc that it’s not gimmicky like hunter n warlock long as I’m clearing gms solo in 6-11 mins max I’m sold for it
I think you’re missing that the potential of combining diamond lance with knockout can be an incredible adclear/healing loop. Knockout melees can spawn diamond lances so you don’t have to burn your ability. On my peregrine build I use this in the down time when I’ve consumed my hammer strike for whatever reason.
So much of Titan’s kit options should be at the level the exotics that augment them provide. Like you said with Drengr’s lash, Abeyant Leap should’ve been default. But let’s go further because this isn’t really a prismatic issue rather than a Titan identity issue. Is Hoarfrost Z an exotic worth using, or would it be better suited to an aspect slot? Or how about No Backup Plans and how it maintains void overshields and synergizes with offensive bulwark? Even AC/D0’s effect would be an excellent Arc Titan trait. Solar Titan’s strong, but so is solar, why not make Hallowfire Heart be a part of Roaring Flames? In D1 it was subclass trait that got turned into an exotic in D2. I’m utterly convinced that Light 3.0 reworks came at the detriment of Titan identities. Void Titan got reduced to the best over shield delivery (lol) with middling suppression and volatile capabilities despite originating suppression and volatility as we know it. Solar Titan’s Melting point ability in D1, got converted into the aspect that grants radiant on powered melee. Titan needs a massive overhaul of identity, and it’s gonna hurt a lot of things. But this class needs some justice.
