It's My Lucky Day, finding your video by accident!!! Love some of the things you're doing/did with this bike. My 09 is bone stock. We're the same height. about 185lbs, but I'm Old!!! (66.…😏) What is this glorious sounding exhaust you're running, and is that with a baffle? I haven't read anything yet... Did you have to get some carb work done?
Just got one of these as a bagger, and I love this bike. Great handling, awesome brakes, and steady on the highway. Plenty of power too. Does have some minor cosmetic issues, lots of plastic chrome, but aftermarket can take care of that.
Beach Bars, that is all I know. They are aftermarket; I got them with a bunch of other bike stuff second-hand so I have no more info... Sorry. But you are right, they were very comfortable. I loved 'em.
you sold me on the Xtreme seat.. I was thinking of buying a solo for my C model and thats the low rider model I want .. looks great.. I'm buying it. :)
Same here. But I sure wish there was a place that specialized in just seats so one could actually sit on a comparable bike without being like a lamb to the slaughter... I don't like not being able to test it before I fork out the bucks.
It was a bit hard work. I beat and hammered and pulled and pried; kinda a mess. But it was a great sound. I liked it better then the Cobra Drag Pipes I had on it before I modified the stock pipes...
5 or 6 1/2 drilled holes at the end of the exhaust sounds much better. I did that years ago and it made the bike sound great, especially when you back off the throttle
I got the Factory Pro jet kit with different idle jet, main jet, and needle. Raised the needle up a bit and drilled out the small holes in the emulsifier tube. Different machine after that tuning...
Yes. I took all the chrome shrouds off, took the pipes apart from the headers, cut each end off of the big pipe section, pounded and pried the baffles out, welded the front end back on, connected the headers back up and put all the chrome back on. Not sure I'd do it again but it sure sounded and looked good...
So they have to be off the bike? I thought about grinding the spot welds off to take ends off and try to take baffles out that way,any advice would be appreciated
Rick Arcusa It is a 1300. The sound is crap because the camera mic is bad, can't go by the sound. Did you notice the single disc brake on the front wheel? 1800 has two discs on the front wheel...
They are beach bars, but I don't know the brand, size or specifications. They were in a box of parts I picked up. They were really comfortable; I liked the low, wide positioning of my hands.
Shopping around for a vtx 1300. Where are you located? What year? How many miles? I'm willing to travel some for the right bike. I'm in New Jersey. Thanks, Mike.
