@@fafihsn4931 British duo Yazoo, known in the USA as Yaz. It’s made up of vocalist Alison Moyet and keyboardist Vince Clarke, who also cofounded the groups Depeche Mode & Erasure. It was released in 1983 or thereabouts. Many videos featuring any version feature Clarke as the songwriter. An a cappella version by the British group Flying Pickets became the Christmas number one here in Britain in 1983 I think. Wonderful arrangement.
Listening to Alison Moyet sing this over a lush bed of 80's synths programmed by Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, Erasure) as Yazoo (known as Yaz in the US) will always be perfection. I appreciate the cool trumpet synth sound here but it won't come close to the original. This is a pale imitation of the original. Look up Yazoo's version of "Only You" to hear some real soul injected into this composition, as that is the original version. I like Enrique's voice, but it does not fit this song at all.
Nunca te olvidare ok entique adonde yte lleven yo sabre hetoes nunca te teaucionan ok enrique te sigo wueriendo corazon nunte olvides de mi y no te cases con nafie sirbeke a dios
Couldn't remember the original artist, I just remembered that Iglesias covered it. Someone in the comments came through, thankfully! Gonna go listen to Yazoo now.
Looking from a window above It's like a story of love Can you hear me. Came back only yesterday I'm Moving further away Want you near me. All I needed was the love you gave All I needed for another day All I ever knew Only you Sometimes when I think of your name And it's only a game And I need you Listening to the words that you say Getting harder to stay When I see you All I needed was the love you gave All I needed for another day All I ever knew Only you This is gonna take a long time And I wonder what's mine Can't take no more Wonder if you'll understand It's just the touch of your hand Behind a closed door Repeat (2 times): All I needed was the love you gave All I needed for another day All I ever knew Only you Looking from a window above It's like a story of love Can you hear me. Came back only yesterday I'm Moving further away Want you near me. Repeat (2 times): All I needed was the love you gave All I needed for another day All I ever knew Only you
