Es gibt beim Geschichtsverein Bilder von den US Truppen in Alsdorf, irgentwo hab ich welche mal gesehen. Grüße , bleib gesund Manni

All the WWII soldiers, including my Dad and my wife's Dad, are all passed on to be with their brothers and sisters in the loving arms of Jesus. Their service needs to be appreciated by this generation. Some served in the Korean War and they need to be honored as well.
During World War II the area was bombed by Allied forces, killing 200 people on 25 April 1945. The town centre with many hospitals and the train station was nearly totally destroyed; the barracks did not suffer any damage. After the war the area was under American military governance (1945-1948).

Hitler said his reich would last a ''thousand years'' and broke every bookies heart. Yeah. Look at what America did. Family members of mine served in the US Army in Europe. They were wounded but made it home ok. What were the Krauts thinking? Did they really think they could beat the USA?
Check out this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RHd0X3TPDyw.html. I also recommend that you go to the channel and search. I've worked on so many different clips and photos that I've likely forgotten some.
My Dad Joseph Paul May was in the 261st Infrantry regiment, part of 65th Infantry Division. Did anyone know him? I have a list of battles he was in that he typed shortly after.
