The problem with Shen Pao is that the type of elemental damage dealt by it and its synergy is that is is randomly chosen. That can be a problem when the chosen element is inflicted against enemies highly resistant to it. I think it is best suited to the Esoterist thanks to Rune Weapon with that massive buff as well as the debuffs from all those skills that reduce resistance.
I'm currently playing a Channeler through Normal. Starting in act 4, I noticed my killing speed was starting to slow down, so I picked up the Ice Shards tree, replacing Huangdi's Favor and Voice of the Ancients along with Breath Attack. I still have a point in Huangdi's Favor for leeching energy since the energy cost of the Ice Shards tree can be quite expensive. It's amazing how much higher my killing speed is now with Ice Shards. Even moreso since I recently discovered that spells such as Squall can trigger Consequences to further reduce enemy resistance.
You should use Squall to level up instead for easily leveling if you play as Storm class character and focus on Int attribute. Iceshards is energy hungry spam spell so it's not easily to spam at low level.
@@TXHuyIcefrzzy I started with Neidan mastery, but Squall was the first skill I levelled up in Storm. It helped improve my killing speed, especially with Static Charge.
- Consequences only be trigger by character to enemies like any attacks, skills, debuff or even reflect/retaliation dmg from character to enemy. - Mutual Suffering trigger on enemies be killed while are under debuff of Consequences, doesn't matter who kill them.
Currently, I'm taking a Harbinger through normal. From what I've learned, Distortion Wave is a great spell for clearing out crowds and levelling up early in the game. The high energy cost is a bit of a problem though. It doesn't, however, benefit in terms of damage from the Battle Rage tree or the bonus damage from Battle Standard.
- DW is dealing its own dmg, does not use bonus flat dmg from any source, only+%dmg type will boost it, so Onslaught will helps with charge raise. Because there is cooldown time of DW, you can build up Onslaught to boost the dmg of next DW. - Triumph - upgrade of Battle Standard that reduced enemies physical res will helps to boost physical dmg part of DW to debuffed enemies. - You can always use item that give more energy/energy regen to deal with energy issue when using DW and use item that give +%dmg/total dmg to boost the dmg of DW skill.
Seal of Fate, Menhir Wall, and a skill that reduces resistances, such as Flush Out, make an effective combo. But from my experience, this requires perfect timing. Often, for me, the enemies break through the Menhir Wall too quickly and step out of the Seal before it can explode. Often I have to run in circles around the Seal so that they do stay in it. Even though I've been putting more points into Menhir Wall, they still break out before the rune explodes. Is there a trick to this combo to make it work?
Just summon Menhir Wall from afar abit, then cast Seal of Fate, about 1s or 2s depends on game speed of your, cast Study Prey to call enemies come to Seal of Fate place. Or use Monster Lure, summon it, lure enemy go to it, let Monster Lure provoke enemies then set Seal of Fate, or if you want it explode faster, set SoF right when you start come close to enemies.
I see that you maxed open wounds and anatomy. Are they really worth to get with this build? I mean rather than dex stat there are no items that increases bleed dmg here. And dont they only proc with auto attacks and throwing knives? Thanks for this build btw.
- Open Would give chance to added bonus flat Bleeding dmg to any weapon attacks (both weapon default attacks and any attacks that use weapon to attacks like Calculated Strike, Lethal Strike,...) and the skill that transfer weapon effect from non -weapon source like Throwing Knives or Blade Barrier skills if you equip the right weapon. - Anatomy boost all bleeding dmg by % (except retaliation/reflect bleeding dmg), same with Defensive Reaction skill from Defense. - This build is more than 3 years ago, game become harder a bit (and more noticeable if play with xmax) since last patches. I change in gears and skill choose for for upgrade version of the build already, just lazy to upload. Maybe i will upload it in future.
