@@nochtrollsegundoh3220 people think that because one the theme that Ruby sings when tied up by maestro is very close to the trixters theme, also “the one who waits” very trixtery. I think the cherry on top is how the Sarah Jane adventures ended, I don’t know if you remember or watched it but a character called sky was brought in, fell from the sky, and Sarah Jane adopted her, due to Elizabeth Sladen’s unfortunate passing the season never finished but RTD stated that sky was intended to be revealed as a child of the trixter, I wouldn’t put it passed him now that all the other pantheons are being introduced that he is recycling this story line making ruby the child of the trixter, otherwise known as “the pantheon of discord”
@@shemdellashemygd29 actually, the song ruby sang in the devils chord just before carol of the bells started playing sounded a lot like this theme, so it seems like your prayers have been answered!
Interesting. I always had a completely different understanding of the Matrix. My understanding was that it was basically a storage of key brain cells from generations of dead Time Lords that had been wired together. They weren’t technically alive anymore, but all of that genius and energy, etc was still all in there. Since Time Lords are telepathic and have a special connection with time, basically they cells wired together had developed limited abilities to do things like predict the future and send telepathic signals across great distances. Of course, this doesn’t mean much until a skilled person like the Master taps into that energy and directs that energy for his own purposes. Basically, whenever someone links up to the Matrix they are then essentially in subconscious communication with each other, and they create a dream state reality in which they communicate using metaphor and imagined realities, etc., but these realities are extremely real to anyone who is in them to the point they will die if they die in the created reality. Goff is able to win the battle to create the reality they compete in because Goff has interacted with the Matrix many times before and has developed a tolerance and learned the tricks for dealing with that energy, which gives him a certain edge because he controls the entire world, but on the flip side that takes a lot of energy to maintain, so the Doctor is able to spend all of his energy fighting Goff directly while Goff splits his energy maintaining the world. Of course, they both perceive this as a real physical battle in a real existence even though they both know they are essentially battling in a dreamscape. Of course, Goff’s plan is to hold out long enough for the hypnotized guard to find the Doctor and kill him irl. Goff seems to know he can only win for awhile and risks it all on that strategy. But maybe I have been completely wrong on that all these years.
This was another Delia Derbyshire arrangement. If you look up the “Delaware theme” you will find a full length version… named for the Delaware Road facility of the BBC.
This would never have worked with a 5th-7th Doctor era Cybmerman; they have too much emotion so would just be giggling and quietly saying “excellent” every time someone fails to spot them hiding in plain sight.
No, nothing of what I've uploaded are new. This cue specifically came from a suite which Sam Watts released on his MySpace, most likely sometime in either 2007 or 2008.
It's not relevant, but Matt Smiths console is still my favourite. I love the glass panels and seeing the circuitry, also the little buttons and levers are so cool
Loved DW, Loved Tom Baker, Loved Sarah Jane Smith, liked K9, loathed this special. It was a shocker. Lis Sladen was a beautiful kind soul and I would have watched this just to see her.
In my mind this is a perfect ending for the Doctor and the Show as a Whole. Would rather it ended here than it continue on to the awful crap we have today on the show. #RIPDoctorWho 1963-2001.
Thank you for the upload! Your channel is the best for SJA tracks, I’m curious as to what you think about the Rani Takes on the World stories especially volume 2?
I've enjoyed it for the most part but with The Revenge of Wormwood having the promise of bringing the gang back together Luke really felt like he was just there and didn't have much involvement in the story, also Tommy Knight's performance wasn't exactly great compared to the rest of the cast but seeing as it was his first time working with Big Finish (and possibly audio dramas in general) I don't think it was too bad. I hope that if there's more with him he's actually more prominent as it was largely disppointing with the promise of bringing the gang back together. Rani & Clyde are great in the series, as they always were. I hope that if there's more to come that they're able to bring back more of the original cast. Sam Watts' score was great for The Revenge of Wormwood with all of the returning themes but I don't remember thinking much of Beyond Bannerman Road's score. Overall it has been much better than I expected but I hope that it won't devolve into nostalgia-bait with bringing back too many things from SJA, Mrs Wormwood is enough outside of the main cast; Luke, Maria, K9, Mr Smith, & Sky.
@@Legoguyproductions1 I couldn’t agree more with everything you said wow. I enjoyed it too but since it’s audio and there’s no restrictions of scheduling and having to record a scene together like there would be when filming I was honestly surprised Luke didn’t get more with the cast or an actual reunion scene with Mrs Wormwood other than the one where her voice was muffled and he didn’t know it was her. I also thought it would be the trio on adventures together but they were hardly together as a three. I really want them to bring back Maria to join Luke, Clyde and Rani for the third instalment. I’m surprised Mrs Wormwood (from what I recall) didn’t mention Sarah Jane even once, thought she would at least give SJ her props for being a strong enemy or something along those lines. I’m so happy Tommy joined and I hope he comes back with Yasmin Paige too. Yes Sam Watts did great I loved the feeling of nostalgia from his scores, just perfect and it was so nice to have these characters come back and hearing their voices so I’m happy I just hope they continue the series.
