Nice breakdown! If I remember correctly he does 99% traditional, but adds the screen tones digitally so that overtime it doesn't tint the paper yellow from their adhesives.

Yup so true everybody think simple looking art is simple when its not i would say its harder than the more detailed style because you can cheese and cheat and put a bunch of detail in places that makes no sense and still get away with it if it still look over all good

For this i plan to make sort Anthology show ala Rocky and bullwinkle ( sort variety show this and animaniacs and so on) i want maybe you do a graphic novel tie in ( some story i plan is not public domain) the graphic Novel. And graphic novel is meant to be throwback to uk comic ala Buster and jet and Buddy these kids comic. Some got goofy stories and other boy adventure story. A Ruritanian romance and is meant throwback to Ruritanian romance. E. van Vogt ( again not public domain) The Mad King is a Ruritanian romance by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs. The Broken Sword and Three Hearts and Three Lions by Poul Anderson. Show might come in 2026 but i want you to do graphic novel even in 2025.

6:40 it's all her hair, she has magic shapeshifting hair. Not 100% sure it's intentional, but Milia sometimes forms feathers with it, it looks like Daisuke left some suggestions of feather shapes in that illustration
When you're pronouncing Japanese words or names, almost all of their alphabet is one consonant sound+one vowel sound, or just one vowel sound. It helps to take things just two sounds at a time. So Ishiwatari is "Eee Shee Wah Tah Ree" It gets a little more complicated than that, cause they have different letters from English, but nine times out of ten that tip will get you the pronunciation mostly right.
I think the videos need more structure, having a script planned out would be nice so you can find your words and avoid wasting time. Love the art though

yea its crazy seeing the great artists come and go, you never even consider that one day they will pass. But now there is some finality to the amount of work he did, which makes it all the more memorable and special
