He was actually being very aggressive. He was making himself larger to be intimidating and marked the area right in front of the cat to show domination over the area. He couldn't have been more aggressive short of attacking the cat. Also, since he's out during the day you should be worried about rabies.
@Vanesss O'Mara 🙋 Foxes, raccoons & opossums are nocturnal (sleep during day). You're extremely fortunately this fox isn't exhibiting any outward signs of rabies. To agree with others, the fox was trying to lower your cat's guard thus easier to attack. This is not cute and would have been very devastating to you watching your pet be torn to pieces and/or carried off to be eaten later.
The fox was on place before you and your cat. Wild animals suffer because we take more and more of their living space and then we marvel when they come into our gardens because they are starving. That s not so funy you know 🙍♀️
Hes isn't being friendly hes being caution same with the cats I love foxes yes but they are wild and are cable or doing damage to people and animals he could have slaughtered those cats if he wanted go always be careful that's all adorable anyway
The fox is not being friendly. It is just trying to losen up some tension before it strikes. I've seen foxes doing the same to little dogs and then eat them. It seems that they are playing but they are still in hunting mode
Congratulations Tim and Kirsten! Lovely wedding, bright and warm despite the nor'easter. Thanks for including us. Have a much deserved hot and sunny honeymoon.
