I recently traded in a Disco 5 HSE 2017 TD 6 for an Ultimate Plus. Did it as I was fed up with the hopeless reliability of the thing. Eight weeks in, could not be happier, does everything i want. Carries 7 people, tows my 1800kgs caravan, is comfortable and roomy, and apparently, is very unlikely to leave me stranded 200 miles from home, with three grandchildren and a caravan, like the LR did!

4.9 miles kwh. thats about the same as my 2014 nissan leaf which is a much smaller car than the korando. efficiency is more important than battery size. ps i charge my leaf on a thre pin at cheap rate. this does 90% of my driving and so cheaply.

Well we are a dealer for KGM! However we report objectively warts and all. This is genuinely the best car that KGM/SsangYong has ever made. It's hard to fault at any price point in all honesty. I would like to see better fuel efficiency from a different engine, but that would mean a jump in price. KGM is however working on a Hybrid powertrain, and lets not forget the electric model is superb with over 300 miles in testing from a single charge, so they kind of have that covered too!

@@SecondoBisogno Well, I count in km and liters. And that conversion, to miles and gallons, is difficult to get right. However, I don't know a single Ssang Yong owner who can drive 5.5L/100km. At least, in ideal conditions, from 6.5 liters upwards. On average, owners state about 7.5-8 l/100km. And that's the better case.

Great video, that's good to know that still going strong after 109k miles, and good as new too, I currently have a diesel jeep renegade I got on 5 years hire purchase finance, have 4 years left but definitely fancy one of these in 3 or 4 years time, be great for my camping and mountain biking, was going to Save a big deposit for brand new one , but after seeing this video it's actually making me consider getting a used one maybe 2 or 3 years old and probably be half the price of new one too, the musso Saracen 2024 in green looks amazing that be my choice in 3 or 4 years time 👌👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

"the seats fold down completely flat" Drops the seats, not flat, huge hump. "the back seats recline to give you loads more headroom" Reclines seat, which proceeds to move about 3 centimetres. Just review it as it is, don't flat out lie while we can see what the car is really like.
@clarioncarsuk8837
@clarioncarsuk8837 3 месяца назад
Hi thanks for the input, but you are mistaken on both. At 10:21 we mention the "the seats don't go completely flat" and then at 10:33 mention that flat loading can be achieved with the optional accessory trays. The rear seats recline 8cm horizontally, which gives around 18cm (7 inches) extra headroom. Seeing as the average height variance of an adult is 5.75 inches, and this variable space exceeds this, we feel that the description is fine. Hope this helps you make a buying decision.

Does the 2024 new spec model have memory electric seat's yet ? Parter is 5'2" iam 5'9" pain trying to get that set, mirrors steering seat& height?,. Life's to short!? Side steps are they an extra cost?! No wireless charger even the cheaper car's & every Chinese model has wireless !? The strange looking blocks on the grill are where they didn't install the KHAN name 😅 you should check out an Australian spec model musso ultimate + package & the Rexton ultimate + luxury package. Australia gets absolutely treated worse than a third world country when compared to your standard features?!

the 50/50 0% deal is not that uncommon - Subaru have been running this for quite sometime. I was considering the Torres AWD but I can get a Forester with the same deal and it's a bit cheaper - but it's a Subaru with proven AWD and reliability. It's a shame the Torres is at the top end of the price range - I don't quite know why KGM have done this.
@clarioncarsuk8837
@clarioncarsuk8837 4 месяца назад
Hi Martha thanks for the input. We didn't know that Subaru were offering a similar 50-50 deal, but still, not sure we'd class 2 manufacturers in a market of over 40 as 'common'! The Forester is an interesting choice, but it's not quite an apples to apples comparison, it's a smaller car in all dimensions with 200 litres less boot space, far lower spec comparatively if you choose the cheaper (than the Torres K40 AWD) XE model, higher kerb weight with the same MPG even though it's a mild hybrid! The Torres is only available as a top model in AWD, in the same top model spec, the XE premium Forester is actually £1,100 more expensive. In terms of reliability, it's curious to see that Subaru only offer a 3 year 60k warranty Vs the KGM 5 year 100k for ICE and 7 year for EV. In actual fact, if you really want proven 4wd, off road domination and loads of space, then the Rexton is all of that for the same price as a Forester! Best of luck whichever you choose!

Hi, sorry for the late reply! If I understand you correctly, you're looking to buy a used (2 month old) Rexton. Sadly you can't take out the 0% half and half deal on a used car, it will need to be new. However some of the recent deals mean that new prices are nearly the same as used! Give us a message or call on 07384022205 and we'll give you a quote!

No 4 wheel drive on standard road driving only 2 high
@clarioncarsuk8837
@clarioncarsuk8837 4 месяца назад
Well it depends, if you have a snow covered/muddy (low traction basically) road then you can use 4WD high. It's all to do with the differentials locking when in 4WD modes.

Question... How would it do in a severe coastal environment eg. The Hebridean small isles , not Lewis Sky etc
@clarioncarsuk8837
@clarioncarsuk8837 4 месяца назад
We have got customers that both live near the sea and launch boats with Musso and Rexton. We have no issues with chassis or ancillaries, but we have had coils fail prematurely on at the rear, they seem to be just regular painted mild steel, so that's the only trouble you may have. Load space covers/hard tops are also not 100% waterproof, so driving rain can get in a little too!

Nice looking car, love the exterior looks and interior too, 38 mpg not bad for 1.5t petrol engine hauling such a big suv, really not bad at all,this car looks easy to live with, ive got a 1.6 diesel jeep renegade and mpg is amazing in it, over 60 mpg easily, best ive had on a 40 mile run one day was 83 mpg, might consider one of these torres in the future, will keep an eye on reliability an quality control on long term review's in the future, 4 cars ive shortlisted for next are the kgm Torres, ford puma, jeep compass or another jeep renegade 🤔👌👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

No hybrid whatsoever. Consumption - far from being moderate. All software and electronics are obsolete. Yet big and sizeable, so can get anyone from A to B. Boot is shallow, the standard suitcase 16"x22" does not fit below the rollo upright or even standing on the side. Two suitcases laying on top of each other also does not fit the boot. Do not attempt slaloming.
@clarioncarsuk8837
@clarioncarsuk8837 5 месяцев назад
Hey Zoltan, thanks for the input, although we're a little confused about some of the things you say. Consumption we thought was pretty good considering it's not much smaller than a Rexton. So to achieve 39mpg from a petrol this size is pretty good no? What do you refer to regarding the software and electronics being obsolete? They now match pretty much every new model on sale currently? KGM do offer the Torres in full electric if you want, this is a great model with some very competitive pricing on finance, check out our deal video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gjp6NO-nrP8.htmlsi=2gcIovo-HKJXpFBs

there is a kind of half cover/shield on the rear , excuse my ignorance but is it a significant function ?

@clarioncarsuk8837 5 месяцев назад
Hi! Not sure about significant, it's a kind of pretend rear tire cover back from 4x4's carried spares on the rear door. Obviously this look had more of an impact on the KGM designers than others! Still think it looks good though

korrando have now with the new torres looks and tech upped the bar by chapters and HANDSOME to boot and a 100.000 5 yr warranty to back it up , but presently the unremovable elephant in the room FOR ME is real world dissapointing 27-28 mpg (prove me wrong) , for 65-70% in town daytime and the rest dual carriage or motorway. AT 200 TO 250 MILES P W = Big petrol bills . Happy to see loads of them on the road this year but sadly i have to decline the urge to purchase one

@clarioncarsuk8837 5 месяцев назад
Hi thanks for the input. Our testing was an average of 39 mpg on the petrol 2wd K40. This was a mixed journey with a little of everything including some ascent and descent. However if you really want to lower your running costs consider the EVX electric model. This costs £6.30 (to charge on a low rate tariff) for basically the same range as the petrol, so about 310 miles! It's also really cheap to buy on finance too! Check out our video below where we find it's just £10 difference per month: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gjp6NO-nrP8.htmlsi=2gcIovo-HKJXpFBs
