George sure had a good thing when he was married to her, but it's a shame that alcoholism, drug use destroyed that. It is good that they remained friends. I honestly think that his near-fatal auto accident a year after she died finally broke him.
Audrey wasn't much of a singer, but she sure could do a recitation!!! Too bad she didn't pursue a career in these types of songs. She'd surely have had a great career! Thanks for posting this gem!
It is a like a Greek tragedy that two could be so much in love, yet so dysfunctional. Everybody thought Hanks was nuts for settling the divorce theway he did. Hank may have known his days were numbered. Audrey spent the rest of days promoting hank Williams, alone without marring. She had to. That was the only way she was to continue to get money from Hanks estate. Talk about Hank having the last laugh.
This is the first time I know that there was a video too this song. It is so hard to believe that she has been gone from us for over ten years, it just seems like yesterday that we lost one of our queens but her music still lives on in our hearts forever.
