Hi! When you come to Toronto, Canada, you'll need to exchange your Ugandan license. Some countries have a straightforward exchange process, but others require you to take tests. In Ontario, you might need to go through the G1, G2, and highway tests (G) depending on your driving experience and the agreement between countries. Make sure to check the specific requirements for your situation. Safe travels!
I've watched a few of your videos and one thing that jumped at me is that you're not teaching your students how to correctly stop at "STOP" signs. They're stopping right at the sign, when they should stop at the point of maximum visibility which is slightly farther, right to the corner of the intersection.
Thank you for your feedback! You're correct that there are different stopping positions for "STOP" signs. While it's essential to stop at the stop line or sign if marked, if there's no line, drivers should stop where they have the best visibility of oncoming traffic, which is often slightly farther ahead near the corner of the intersection. We'll make sure to emphasize this in future videos.
It’s great that you enjoyed watching him drive! Maybe one day you’ll learn to drive too, but for now, it’s fun to appreciate it from the passenger seat.🙂
Good analysis, I'll be taking G1 and G later this month I'm still not in Canada yet, but I think that I've learned far enough from your videos already, keep rolling ❤
woaaa I was so scared to drive when I was younger, now I took driving lessons again and overcame my fear and I'm having my final test in 3 days on the road, I'm nervous but your vids help so much, thank youuu 🤍🙏🏻
That's amazing! Overcoming your fear and getting back into driving is a huge accomplishment. I'm glad my videos are helping you. Best of luck on your final test-you've got this!
Great videos, had my test today.. sadly failed. Your videos have helped me out a ton, I was just about to pass but since I was using someone else’s car I was not used to I accidentally hit the curb a bit when I was coming back to ICBC parking lot. Would have passed if it wasn’t for that. Thank you for helping me on everything though.
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't pass your test, but it's great to know that my videos have been helpful for you! It's understandable that driving an unfamiliar car can be challenging. Don't be too hard on yourself-you're clearly very close to passing. Keep practicing, and I'm confident you'll succeed next time. Thank you for your kind words and best of luck on your next attempt!🤞
So when you park in left or right you will not turn or put your steering wheels all the way to the left or right when you start reveresing the car? Just only one full turn?
In Canada, 🇨🇦 we take road safety very seriously. Our driving tests are designed to be comprehensive, ensuring that all new drivers are well-prepared for real-world driving. 🙂👍
At first Aydan (hopefully I'm spelling it right) looked a bit tense but it was surprisingly a smooth ride. He's a pro at switching the turn signals on because I had to double check at times. Good luck to him! Btw Alex, a dash-cam for the front and one pointed at the driver from the passenger's seat would provide a more immersive experience for learners. The movement of the handheld camera makes it a bit disorienting. Great mock test!
Hi there! Thank you for your feedback and kind words. I did try mounting the cameras inside, but it ended up being distracting for the driver. That's why I use my current method, which works better for me and provides a smoother experience for everyone. Appreciate your support and suggestions!
at 8:22 i see there is a "no left turn" sign at specific times. if i am already in the left turn lane and then see that i cant make that left turn at that time, merging to the right lane now becomes tricky. i understand that we need to observe traffic signals always. but it is a weird one where if i entered the left turn lane and then see the time restriction, now merging back to the right may be unsafe.
Great observation! Navigating situations like this can indeed be tricky. If you find yourself in the left turn lane and realize you can't make the turn due to time restrictions, the safest option is usually to wait until someone gives you the opportunity to merge back to the right lane. If merging back is unsafe, you can try to make a U-turn. Always prioritize safety while observing traffic signals and signs. Thanks for highlighting this scenario!
I failed my g2 today, was doing front parking just after the test and the examiner press the break. Pls can I book with any availability date or I need to wait for some time
Which location was your driving test? I have a video how to do front parking. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mO3TPwQV7ag.htmlsi=QWsTN-fpin7655--
Hi usually it’s 10% for example if you driving on the speed limit 50km you can drive close to 45 km or above max 55 you will be not penalized but it’s better to keep as close as possible to speed limit Good luck
@AmandaBabs You're welcome! Here are some tips to help you keep your car centered in your lane: Stay Relaxed: Keep your hands relaxed on the steering wheel. Tension can lead to overcorrection. Use Reference Points: Pay attention to the left lane line. This can help you gauge your position and keep the car centered. Look Ahead: Focus on the center of your lane far ahead rather than directly in front of your car. Smooth Adjustments: Make small, smooth steering adjustments rather than sudden or large ones. Proper Positioning: Ensure your seating position is comfortable and your mirrors are adjusted properly for better visibility. With practice, maintaining your lane position will become more intuitive. Thanks for your comment!
Thank you so much sir Alex for the mock test that are very helpful and we learn from mistakes of students , my question please is if we are doing uphill parking the tire has to touch the curb or it is not necessary to touch it just turning the steering to the left . Thank you so much and God Bless you.
You're welcome, and I'm glad you found the mock test helpful! For uphill parking, it's not necessary for the tire to touch the curb. You should turn the steering wheel to the left so that if the vehicle rolls, it will move away from the street. Thank you, and God bless you too.
Thank you for the mock test. I have a question about left turn, after I turn do I change to the right lane automatic or stay in left lane and wait for the examiner's instruction. Thank you!
You're welcome! When making a left turn at a traffic light, you should turn into the left lane and accelerate. Without the examiner's instructions, you should change to the right lane once it's safe to do so. Thank you for your question!
Hey! I don’t recommend to do 45°. Somebody asked me the same question he did 45° and he failed the test because there was a car coming and he was blocking the road he got nervous and impeded the traffic most of mine they going straight and reversing in to the spot. I also heard that there is no problem to do 45 degree. It all depends on the examiner. Which location are you going for the test?
Thanks for your feedback , I do have more videos on my channel regarding maneuvers and other tuning techniques. Check them out for more detailed instructions and tips!
