I bought a x304 way back in 2006 has the Kawasaki and it runs as good today as it did new. About to up grade warranty is outstanding you can have your preference but can’t kick a JD mower much from my own experience
That kawasaki v twin they ran was amazing. My dad still uses an lx177 (I think) from 1995 and it still runs like the day he bought it. Never done anything major to it and he isn't exactly the best at maintaining it lol. Great engine
So when i went to the john deere dealership yesterday i had asked about the diesel lawn tractor and said can it pull heavy stuff? He chuckled and said no its a lawn tractor and its not meant to do that. I looked at him and said then what is it for then? A diesel supposed to have power and be able to haul things besides cut grass. So you're paying 16k for something that does the same thing as a gas powered lawn tractor.
@moveon7564 No, I do. That's why I looked at the salesman like he had four heads. That diesel supposed to have power in it, correct? He told me that it's not meant to do heavy-duty things.
@moveon7564 I didn't say pull a whole tree out the woods! Haul, a couple logs and move some things thats what I was asking. Not work miracles. My point being is if the X350 can do all that stuff Then why would they need to make a diesel land tractor? A diesel is supposed to be a lot stronger than your average gas engine. If you're gonna make a diesel engine lawn tractor then you might as well make it to where it could do a lot more things than the average gas lawn tractor. It's just another way to make money off a stupid people.
@moveon7564 Another question I had was why are they gonna put the Kawasaki engine in the majority of all of their lawn tractors, and then for the X330, they are going to put the Briggs and Stratton engine in it? That's the dumbest thing john Deere could do. I know it might sound like I'm craping on john Deere. I like john Deere, but the fact that they would do that is pointless.
@@walkingdeadalphaCO Since moveon7564 has moved on, I would say you have made some valid points. Admittedly it is hard to make a four-stroke gasoline ICE that can handle steep angles without a supplemental oil pump. Notice also the extra wights (carried both fore and aft) to accomplish this task. As you point out, this is clearly a niche tool.
I have the same x758 diesel too. Great Tractor, I just wish that my john deere dealership carried parts for the engine. I have to make a trip to my kubota dealer to get oil filter etc for the engine. Your tractor sure handled that steep hill easily.
Beautiful truck! Two things, your bridge plate is mounted upside down and your ignition switch knob is also mounted backwards. Just reverse the knob and then the "leg" of the switch will directly be over the ON portion of the plate. Stunning renovation!
X758 is much safer and better at mowing and mowing steep hills than the 1025 series.😊 Low center of gravity and no rops when going under trees. Plus full time awd.
@@MrThfknsamurai If you want your lawn to look nice, don't cut more than 1/3 of the grass's length at a time. Cutting too much will stress the grass and stunt it's growth. 1/3 is just a common standard.
your tires are NDT's, meant for deep snow and mud. there are several tread patterns available but the NDT's are terrible on ice or shallow snow. the manual also recommends airing down to 10psi. (from 40psi.) for mud/snow, which increases traction dramatically. i have the original TM/TO if you ever need any pictures or info
Door handles are 90 degrees off and what's with the snot welds on the non original padlock hasps? Got a loose captured screw on your instrument panel as well. LOSE THE JEEP FLOOR MAT, GUY. Rifles would NOT be stored in the BII stowage bin under the bed. That's for your jack, tools and recovery gear. *straight cut gears. I don't mean to be too harsh, just the stuff I noticed.
@@Blind_Kamikaze Not exactly... he's going up and then back down, so he's using more fuel going up and then practically none on the way down, so it would basically be the same as going sideways
