Hey if you go back to late 70's and early 80's there was a hotel there by Occatillo Lodge, we used to go there several times. We can't remember the name it was kind of like a motel so to speak.
Actually, we have a new ice-skating rink, the Berger Foundation Iceplex at the new stadium Acrisure Arena. Sadly, we do not have a rollerskating rink, but there are plenty of outdoor skate parks.
Boomers inflated our currency! They should have their Social Security REDUCED. They mortgaged the future of their kids and leaving us with a cr@p situation.
Low cost of living? I remember when it was affordable for working people. Desert home prices are a joke. The market has been completely fucked up by investors. My husband and I will have to retire in Blythe at this point ( realtors will call it palm springs adjacent ) Half a million for a tract home ina place with no industry and only minimum wage jobs.
I appreciate your comments and frustrations regarding rising home prices and the concerns that come with them. The growing demand for housing in the Desert highlights its attractiveness but also raises issues of affordability for many looking to buy in the Desert.
@@PalmSpringsRealEstate well it’s not that attractive unless you’re a retire gay couple, a vacation seeker or an investor. The investors are a problem. Houses are for people to live in. They are there to be snatched up and taken out circulation by people towing to get rich on vacation rentals. I don’t expect realtors to step in because the higher prices mean higher commissions. But what is going to happen as we get fed up is Sacramento is going to step in and start making laws and regulations around lending and buying with primary residence requirements. That’s what I ask for from my stae reps. There’s already a shortage in California. Rent isn’t even affordable for working people when you have four people sharing a two bedroom apartment to survive. If people want to invest in rental Property and vacation property then they need to be building those properties not taking single family homes and condos out of our housing stock. I hope the market crashes From the abuse.
Any neighborhood that hasn't reached the 20% stvr cap will be able to get a stvr permit with the City. with that size home, including a casita you are looking at Movie Colony, Old Las Palmas, Vista Las Palmas, The Tennis Club and The Mesa will all fulfill that criteria. These are all Lux neighborhoods. Please drop me an email if you need to find something, stephen@stephenburchard.com. Thanks!
I can't really speak to that since I don't work in that business. My recommendation is to call your current company and inquire about what rates might be for home or auto in Palm Springs.
Have you seen some of the list prices in the upper cove lately? There's a handful of houses over 1M! Crazy... they're definitely going to make deals under asking.
We saw your channel advertisement on Facebook and came here from there. Can I share your channel and videos organically with targeted audiences and with my friends?
HI DARLING, YOU REALLY ARE GOOD AT YOUR JOB. WHY IS IT, KTLA REPORTS PALM SPRINGS AREA CITIES HAVE FALLING PRICES? SO MANY RUSHED IN AND BOUGHT PROPERTIES AS AIR BNB SHORT TERM RENTALS. NO THE CITIES ARE {GOOD FOR THEM} CRACKING DOWN, ALLOWING NO MORE THAN 20% IN AN AREA CAN BE AIR BNB. OOPS, MANY ARE 40%. ONE PERSON BOUGHT A PROPERTY FOR AN AIR BNB $1.5 MILLION, NOW IS WORTH $1 MILLION. LIAR, LIAR.
Good question! I don't know why the media provides such inaccurate information. Palm Springs is one of 11 Coachella Valley Cities. Yes, prices in Palm Springs have softened from what you pointed out, but not across the entire desert. Each City is unique and have a micro market.
Thanks for this, my husband and I are coming out for a week at the end of the month and definitely appreciate the current restaurant picks. They look so delicious can’t wait ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! I hope you both have an amazing week filled with great food and wonderful memories. Check out the same vid about Palm Springs eateries...
We ending up going to Tony’s (awesome burgers and absolutely huge) and over by the casino in PS called the Tropicale, their fried chicken dish was delicious.
Awesome tips for any dog parent who wonders what else they can do to ease those long moments for the fur babies when we have to be out of the house. I really appreciate all the advice on how to engage and bond with pets as well. Did my dog put you up to this?!! 😂 And I love the outtakes.
