I became intensely MORE aware of myself and hated sex for years after I met my life partner 7 years ago. This was because I couldn't escape anymore. Unfortunately I realised that before him, I had only had sex whilst high on cannabis, alcohol or other drugs. So I dissociated and it felt "great" - because of the drugs. As a result I felt so much shame about sexuality because I saw how spiritually invaded I had been during my sexual life. I don't hear anyone talking about this and I think it is very common.
Lesson being, When we are present, we are at home with our being. Plugging in to the man/woman is what our beings do when we are home/present. Hence 🎁 It’s our nature. It’s the law of one.
The challenge is to see things as it is without any preconceived notion and concepts. Accepting self is key and then practice meditation without no one can grow in spirituality
What about all the "enlightened" gurus who say you shouldn't have sex because it hinders/distracts you from enlightenment? Like Hindu gurus, or Buddhist monks etc.
