A keyboardist and composer/producer. As stage musician, I've worked with various artists of international repute such as Lucky Ali, Kavita Krishnamoorthy, Dr. L. Subramaniam, Corky Siegel, Tanmoy Bose, Srinivas Doraiswamy, Mohammed Aslam, The Galeej Gurus etc. I run my own studio, Minim Sound Labs, where I compose and produce music.
As a music educator, I've been involved in rethinking the way contemporary music is taught, melding methodologies from the Western Classical school to Indian Traditional. I was involved with the Octavium Academy of Music as a curriculum designer. I've been designing various digital tools to bring relevant music education to the digital learner.
I'm also a music technology enthusiast, playing around with the newest technologies from tablets/touch devices to RaspberryPi, Arduino and various apps to push the limits of technology assisted music. I also hack hardware, build synths and MIDI controllers.
The MODX has in-built transposition functionality. Just press the Shift+OctaveUp button to transpose one semitone up. Similarly for transpose down. From the app perspective, most Synth apps have the possibility to transpose/tune within the app itself. Alternatively if you're working within a Performance, you can transpose only a single track on the MODX, and receive the relevant track/channel on the app. I hope that clears it up. ✌🏾
Hey! That's just me improvising based on the tonality of the piano, not really a pre-composed piece or soundtrack. Glad you enjoyed it though. Thank you. ✌🏽
Thank you so much for that Video. I already looked for Midi and Sound interfaces to realize this, as i thought i Need to Go modx->ipad->PA. But this is so much better! Very good video!
what I'm looking to do is connect it to my MacBook computer and also be able to download sounds to the synth packs are for example that I would have bought by download with USB key to see download it on the modx question how to do thank you what software on the Yamaha site
on which site you have to go to download the sounds of the MODx 8 thank you and question what kind of USB key you have to buy is there any or one with a specific name how many giga maxi thank you
There's a website called YamahaSynth.com where you will find the relevant downloads. They have a sub-site called SoundMondo where you can find community sounds etc. And for the USB card, any standard SD card should work. I'm using a Class10 4Gb Card.
Getting my MODX6+ tomorrow, your video helped a lot mate! Can't wait to try this on it. Also, if you could please tell me which amp do you use ? And I love the way you play the keys too! Kudos from a musician based in Bangalore to another! 🙌🏽 Sub all the way, looking forward to more of your videos.
after his debut O Sanam became biggest Hit ,which broke biggest chart busted record to stay on top of Mtv asia charts for 60 consecutive weeks...this song came out in 1997 from album "meri jaan Hindustan" and instantly it became a titanic hit...me and my friends used to talk about how we used to wait for this song to come on DD1 and other channels in front of TV
Thanks for that question. I got excited by that too, but unfortunately I don't think that's possible. The USB-Return goes straight through to the outputs.
Hahah! It's got 2engines. A sample engine and a Synth engine. Lots of people use it primarily in the sample engine context, so it becomes pretty important that the sample libraries sound good too. Wouldn't you agree ?
Because the standard USB cable wouldn't fit. The camera connection kit is used for hosting USB devices via a USB B port. Just see the port shapes, and you'll see why. ✌🏽
