@@ianryan7826 Sorry. I'm not qualified for teaching. You have to contact a paragliding school. And hey, don't hesitate to do so. Paragliding is life changing and I really hope you start. Best of luck! 👍😁🪂
@@ianryan7826 Koh Larn is not suitable for learning/beginners (in my opinion). I would recommend you contact Tom on OceanWingz in Rayong instead. +66868138142. Say hello from me. 🙏
Hi very nice video and thanks for sharing! We are planning to go there in early Feb as well, do you know if we have to contact anyone/local clubs for visiting pilots? Many thanks!
Actually! There is a really awesome thaiguy on the island. His name is "Pi Gok" and he is a pilot, bungalow-owner and motorbiketaxi. Everyone on the island knows him. His bungalows are great budget and he can deliver and return bikes for you. And most of all, he is one of the happiest and most friendly people I have ever met. Just ask for him among the taxibikes when you arrive on the island and he'll help you with everything and anything. Send my regards, Jesper and Nikki from Sweden. 😁
Not too different. Not more turbulent than other places I would say. If you quit paragliding and want to start again, I do not recommend to start in Koh Larn. Schooling in Koh Larn is not good and the takeoff is quite advanced. You also have to think about the tide. Suddenly the beach is gone, and you HAVE TO topland or get your glider wet.
They can't remove bushes etc which makes it very turbulent on the sides. There is a "dead" area on inflight where I have seen at least 4pilots get a full stall and go in the ground. Then there's the tide. Suddenly the beach is gone and you are forced to topland with above mentioned dangers that are not to be underestimated. Therefore. It is NOT a beginner takeoff.
You can contact Chucheep. He has the gas-shop in the village below the mountain, I think it's Lom Sak. There's a meetup there every morning. Don't have his number. Sorry.
I would recommend that you contact Tom on Oceanwingz. A school located in Rayong. You also have Glide Asia on Koh Larn, but I do not recommend it as Koh Larn is not a beginner site and students most times cannot finnish their course. There is no school located in Pattaya city..
Hello this is a great video! would it be ok if if I imbeded it with a link to you on the Kohlarn website . It would appear on the todo / paragliding page. It would help your views and my site as well. Thanks.
Hi. Of course. Feel free to share any of my films. FYI. I will also do a summary of flying in Koh larn in a few weeks. This will hopefully include all the good stuff anyone needs to know. Update your site with that one later... Feel free to email me: jesper(a)ahlstrom.biz
