This topic has so much misinformation spread especially in the new age communities. Most fail to understand is that this as well as the other "chakras" are glands of the endocrine system which have certain needs and all you need to do is simply provide your body with what's already medically proven for that gland to respond and function normally. I tried so many methods out there and meditations, etc. but I found the best results was when I started taking a product from Tria Alchemy called Third Eye. It gives the pineal gland exactly what it needs to do what is supposed to do which is secrete melatonin and serotonin. When this is happening, this is how we are able to get visions much like when we are having vivid dreams. Once I understood this it became almost like common sense. This applies to all of the other chakras. They are also glands which will respond with what they are also medically proven to utilize. Tria Alchemy also has a product for that called Rise. I have not found anything else that actually works as good.
