This is my first time making a song with only atonals, and I took a lot of inspiration from Pico's own songs for this, as well as songs like Unloaded and stuff. I thought Pico's style matched Punflower a lot, considering her whole punk theming and whatnot. Overall, I'm satisfied with the result, even if I think Brooke's chromatic could be a bit better.
To be honest, that's my main problem with it as well. I'm not great at mixing yet, and my instrumentals recently have been lacking. I need to work on those.
Just want to share what I personally think about how I did with each act in this. Act 1: I feel like I did alright here. I feel I could possibly have worked the references into the song more fluidly, but I still think I did good. Act 2: I feel this is one of the stronger acts here. I had tons of ideas on what to do here in both the instrumental and the vocals. I wanted Omega to have some more moments where he sung on his own, since in the original song, he normally sings with BF. The trio section is alright. Act 3: To be honest, Act 3 is my least favorite in the original song, and here is no different. I actually kinda dislike how Act 3 turned out. It feels empty, but any extra instruments I put in like a guitar cluttered up the song. I couldn't recapture the emotional feeling of the original song. I had some ideas that I thought I would like, but they honestly feel a bit forced into the song now. I feel like I could've done way better. Act 4: Is it any surprise Act 4 is my favorite part of the song? I wanted to have lots of references in this part since it's basically the finale of the mod. Bringing everything full circle with lots of references to previous songs is one thing I loved about the original. Obviously, there are are still some things I could've done better, like the ending sounding cluttered, but I'm happy with Act 4.
