They must have a shitload of Royalties. Between ripping off the Cure in this one, and Rill Rill sounding EXACTLY like one of my favorite Funkadelic songs, idk how they're gonna make any money off this album if they're gonna have to give it back to the artists with more longevity that they sampled.
@SatyrVision Wow. These guys sure like to sample, don't they? The Cure is one of my favorite bands, and I didn't realize they borrowed anything from "Close to Me." I'm annoyed by that.
must get boring playing that one note over and over "hey I was thinking, maybe i could you know play a different note to fill the time between playing this one.. no? ok you're the boss baby doll" that's how shit would hit the floor
This band is a sick pleasure to listen to. This song in particular reminds me of the loud mysticism of My Bloody Valentine. They're coming around next month and I think I'm there....:)
@redheadontheroad Too bad RU-vid doesn't require people to take an IQ test before posting comments, imagine how much more pleasant the comment sections would be to read.
i like how youtube handles things. if youve posted a lot of comments in quick succession, they ask you to type in a code. underneath the box, it asks you, "Can't Read?" Nice. Even illiterates can get in on the action.
@darsvedder No, he just took this song and rapped over it. That was the whole point of those two mixtapes. Its funny, cause two of my favorite tracks from I Am Just a Rapper are the ones where he raps over Sleigh Bells.
These two seriously need to step up their live show; the guitarist is too busy looking cool to play with some sense of precision and they rely waaay too much on pre-recorded material. It is great to capture the sound of the studio recordings when you successfully re-create them, but it clearly sounds a bit odd live. Check out live clips of Infinity Guitar andyou will hear how far they take it; at times it sounds like she is singing over full vocal tracks yanked from an ipod.
