My dear mother took an obsessed 15 yr old to Brands Hatch in July 1972 to witness Emerson powering thru Paddock, and screaming past us on the way to Druids.. I still have the photos.
"Streamlined body" that "cuts through the air like an arrow" and "add lightness". Yet the Model 7 has a ridiculously long wheelbase, ridiculous and useless "full fenders" up front and a full-size spare tire "continental kit". All of which "vanish" from the first "race car" which is entirely "stereotypical" for the "era" and 4-cylinder "sports cars".
A gorgeous Duesey.... with a really "Ugly low-style roof!" In my opinion, the low profile roof really is a huge "Mis-Match" on the gorgeous body..... Ted Schempp, Nashville
too efficient, definitely wasn't as radioactive as claimed. if manufacturers invested and government didn't want their fuel bucks gone you'd have a car with limitless range
If I'm being honest I'm not sure. Everywhere i looked referred to the peel p50 as the smallest production car ever made but I do know they made it with 3 wheels so you could drive it as a small motorcycle according to the "law".
I've seen this, but haven't heard anything about it since the ID Buzz started getting all the press. I hope it's still planned for the future. Of course we lost the Beetle in 2019..I'd like to see it come back as a variant of the Buggy. What I would like even more is the Karmann Ghia. It could even be a two seater, the original only barely had a backseat. When the Buzz doesn't sell like they're expecting, hopefully we will see these smaller platform EVs.
That would be an awesome car, it would be easy to make it look modern and honestly smaller EVs are better to own. I’m working on a video that compares the different between small and large electric vehicles and how large Ev will cost that average person way more over time than a ICE vehicle so stay tuned if your interest lol, thank you for the comment btw
@@lumemotive Yeah I worry a little about the Buzz although I love the concept. I think that if I can get one I'd want the European version, not the longer US version that is planned. Maybe VW will use lighter materials to keep the weight down, but I hate big vehicles. 😂
I always have wondered what Mario's total F1 record would have looked like if he had signed on with Chapman after his initial shocking rookie pole at Watkins Glen in 1968 and stayed all through the seventies. I believe he would have won three or four world championships. But of course, he may not have survived either.
This program - when it thundered onto RU-vid - was an unparalleled showcase for over-the-top euphemisms - indeed it reached new heights, breached new barriers and layed out a new paradigm for bloviation - all thanks to the genius of Colin Chapman and Team Lotus.
A lot of people don't realize that in the 20s and 30s, gasoline was like 60 octane so you really had to keep compression ratios down low and retard the timing quite a bit in order to stop pre ignition or knocking. The power potential for them is far beyond what they're rated for.
only 700 hp from a 12 cylinder with 4 turbos says to me that is a shit powerplant. that large displacement could make 700 hp without the turbos.. americans needs to learn to make pwr from the europeans and the japanese
Although I couldn t aford it any way, I so wished that they would maked at least a couple of these, it s better to dream for something that exists that to cry and hope for something that doesn t , when I olayed nfs 2 as a child I would always select this car, it wasn t the best but for me it was the best looking, as an architect and a partial car designer maybe I ll have the courage to built one some day, with my sons, great video!
As a photographer, have to admire the photos as well. Beautifully shot on film stock. Nostalgia kicks in a little stronger when you see film for some reason.
Yeah I was thinking that this would be the perfect time to revisit the concept, make it 900hp and call it the gt 900 but honestly they would probably just make it electric which would be awesome if they actually make it one of the fastest electric cars
Keep up the good work. Not everything is an immediate success. And after watching the entire video, there's nothing at all wrong with your audio. Good job.
Thank you, I was debating on looking for a mic and just narrating myself but I don’t have a super cinematic voice, compared to some of the text to speech models. It’s going to take some time to get everything dialed in.
@realnutteruk1 Yeah I almost had a stroke trying to tune in the text to speech but since it’s only my 5th video using text to speech, I still have a lot of learning and improving to do. But your criticism has been noted.
Just have to say. Andretti was in fact much slower than Peterson. Chapman handed Andretti the Championship, because he wanted to sell more cars in the US. Peterson wasn't allowed to win! SAD fact really.
