do you think you can attach the half cover tips with normal nail glue instead of the gel? I assume it would be fine because I would be putting acrylic on top of it but I wanted to make sure it wouldn't cause any problems. love the video!!!
Well I will tell you it does take practice but remember that gel can be cleaned up before it is cured. Always have a cleanup brush and some alcohol on hand so you can clean up any mistakes before curing. Good luck 👍
I was looking for a video to show how to use gel glue for half moon nails because of the same reason I want to put builder gel on the whole nail not just the plastic tip lol I love it
I used the UV soak off gel that came in the kit. I just used my Makartt dehydrator and primer not from the kit but I try not to mention other brands in videos like this. I hope that helps 😘
I need to get those forms. That way when I break a nail I can use this method while it grows back out. I always feel like a hideous troll when my nails are short or they are not taken care of. It’s one of my little quirky things this will save me from feeling like a hideous troll during that three week painful grow out time. 😂
By the way, about the heat spike, if you have the 99 second option in your lamp, it tends to be low heat, it makes a HUGE difference and you hardly feel the burn.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen Oh really?? Wow ok lol I have that 99 second thing and I hardly feel anything. I do feel some heat, but it has nothing to do with a regular 30 or 60-mn setting. It's waaay lower :D

Hi Jen! I just got my Aimeili builder in a bottle a couple of days ago and tried it last night on only one nail, it seems to be much easier to work with than pot builder gel. I'm also a gel nail DIY'ist and just got started so I am still learning a lot :) Your tutorial is really really helpful; especially the filing part after you applied the blobs lol, that's where I lack patience :D Thanks for sharing this easy to follow tutorial! @@ITISWHATITIS293 great prep is key and the gel that comes in the package works very well. In addition, gel nails last longer with no air bubbles. It’s practice perfecting everything but ones you get it they last longer. 😊
The nails are very cute!! Looks great with the french too! So happy you're back though, but sad you're going through all that stuff, one day at a time and baby steps too with exercises! Btw your voice is so relaxing, don't feel you have to shut-up ever!! 🥰💕

Hey, you do you. It's a shame that these products used to be readily available here in the US. I always had bottles of ridge filler, etc,etc. I'm older & remember my Mother, who did nails, makeup & hair always putting these products on her nails. She too got Chemo. God Bless ❤
I remember using them when I was younger. I used to be a bad nail biter, still am sometimes. Which I’m sure doesn’t help. The only things I see that are supposed to help with nail health is nail oils.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen YUP! I'm distressed about hair, nail products being available only from nail stores. I can no longer get any good hair products from the supply stores, as they became only for "professionals". And, I know nail products will end up the same. History repeats 👀
@bonniehonchell9963 I know it stinks. I will usually purchase hair products from my hair dresser or I’ll try to find it on Amazon. Ipsy has good stuff too. I don’t have a monthly account anymore but I’m still able to purchase stuff from them.

Love the marbled look. I'm not a bling person 😷, but, I know they're pretty. I did get the Tipex tips from Beetles. I'm really going to start a controversy over this LOL, but, My nail beds must be extremely flat, because I sat with both the original & Beetles tips,( which I couldn't find any differences), trying them on 1 thumb & 1 finger. There's a lot of space under those nails. I think one reason I'm having a problem is they're so stiff. If they were more flexible, it would be better. For content creators, who only put the nails on for the videos, they really don't know if they wear well. I also cut one down to make it easier for me & to make it a little more square. The apex was fine, but, OMG those nails are thick. I will have to use my solid glue on these.😂 I'm just amazed that I got the exact same nails for 16.00 with your discount & Amazon's sales. I'd love to get the rest of the nails I just put on😢 off & do a set of these with the marble look. Anyway, yes Please do the Korean look! Off to get medicine. TYSVM for sharing 💞
So a trick that I used to do with sculpted nails that I learned from @kirstymeeken is to lay the nail flat on a nail file and buff back and forth. It will shorten the sides down thus making it flatter. I hope that helps and feel better 😘

I really wanted these nails to work, but, I have the Beetles square gel nails & they are wonderful for us bigger thumb gals. I have their jelly collection as well as M.G. I appreciate your help so much. You're very kind! Bad pain day & my truck was broken into again. Oh well, you have your own problems. Thank You Again 💯💖
This drill really sucked for me, it had a lot of fluctuations under 6,000 RPMS so I got a replacement thru the warrant & it was the exact same.. personally I won’t use it again because of the fluctuations you can really hurt someone or possible burn them. I really wanted to love it tho, it just wasn’t a good fit :(( so sad about it I love all their other products & drills !

Nice drill!! I can also relate to the meds situation. It's sooo hard to wean off. I have swith to many different meds over the past 10 years, the easiest was to "cross-taper" and slowly switch to another medication. I'm also always tired which is a side-effect of Citalopram for me. Now that winter is over and its brighter outside, i finally want to do more walking after work, get in better health. 💕🥰 Go slow and dont give up!

I have the Tipex big box 😂. I haven't done a set in a long time, so I spent 2 days on my own nails prepping. I also had a BTArtbox dupe of their French tips from Temu. The thumbs were larger than BTArtbox & I was excited to try them. Instead of the Tipex I started putting on the French tips from Temu B/C they're square. I stopped after the first 2. I noticed the nail beds were very long & the pink & white was not the same. I used the Tipex glue, but, it didn't hold. I think there might be something wrong with my light. I don't like this light & it's new to me. Anyway, I finished off the rest of my nails with the BTArtbox tips & left the thumbs for the Temu tips. I just filed from the cuticle area to shorten the nail beds, & switched over to my solid glue. I did notice a lot of differences between the 2 brands. Do the Beetles have only the one style? I have a lot of Beetles products. I think they were the first Co. that sold square nails with thumbs that fit me. I'm so sorry I didn't do the Tipex now. Did you notice any differences between the two? I appreciate you sharing these, but I just want the tips, not the kit. Good price! Good to see you again. 🙌🏻💞
Just looked on Amazon and they got a small box of just 120 tips for $10 & a box of 480 for $18.⁹⁹.(just tips not set)UNFORTUNATELY the largest size is 14.48!Me-I need a 15 for my thumb at least😢.I guess I will just have to wait to try em.I can't do the super long anyways so hopefully soon they make a medium length with more inclusive sizes!
@@shanaculbert5251 Agree with the length! Medium to medium long, as long as they're on to stay. I went so long without any nails on, I'm going to have to file these down. That's a shame about the thumbs. I wonder if they changed the sizes, or maybe because they're not square. That was one of the reasons I was so happy with Tipex. Their thumbs were so large. I know one of my thumbs is larger. And, the Tipex was good. I'm going to have to have a looky to see if they changed their sizes. I don't remember exactly what my measurements are, as I had given up. But, I'm pretty sure they're close to the same as yours. I will be cutting the Tipex/Beetles down. TYSVM ⚘
@@LuxeNailsbyJen What's weird is after I bought mine & they were expensive, they jumped the price to 46.00! I don't know if it was a typo or mistake, but I remember thinking I won't be buying anymore. Now, this. So I guess I should've waited.🤯😁
@@bonniehonchell9963 that seems like a mistake but you never know. I feel like they could have probably sold for that price considering how unique they are.
It was a good idea. I’m more surprised that more companies have tried to make something like this. Someone said in my last video that you could cut them down.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen yes I’m sure now the floodgates will open and there will be a ton of dupes. I don’t like cutting them down and the apex is based on that long length. A shorter style would have a smaller apex. I like the apres ones but they are meant for curved nails and I have flat nail beds. If I use the apres ones for the naturally curved nails, I have to use the solid glue to fill the gap.
