This doesn't seem to address how to get the exact aspect ratio for Instagram. For portrait, Instagram takes a 4:5 aspect ratio but my photo is in 2:3, so I want to put my 2:3 on a 4:5 border.
I found the title missleading, no acussasions, just leaving my comment, but I´ll come back later to learn about the difference between these 2 formats.

If you take pictures in raw on iPhone, can Android users view them? Do we need to convert raw photos into jpeg first before we send them to non-iPhone users?
Google sent me a note that I was running out of space. So I went to look at large items specifically large photos and videos. I found hundreds of my photos that were in HEIC format many of them over 10 MB can you please explain how they could all be so big these are just regular photos.

Followed along easily up until you said the photos can be changed on the Mac in a simple settings under Photos. I can't seem to find that on Photos or Settings on my Mac.
