There was another extended version that got taken down or disappeared from the site. Glad that not only did you make another extended version, but you also made it longer AND it's also high-quality audio. Much appreciated, man.
thank you again for extending this track!!! one of my favorite overworld tracks from the new shinjuku area for sure if you have time, could you please extend kasugayama high's theme from persona 2 eternal punishment? either the psp or the psx version works fine for me!
Thinking about this video again, I'd just like to add that I understand a lot of the SMT games have many alignments and endings be extremely flawed on purpose with the intention of making a point (and of course, all of them are at least somewhat flawed). However, I think it's much more compelling to have most endings in games like that be appealing to most people. That way the players will be more likely to consider their own beliefs and to think about why they make the choices they do. Most of the SMT games have gotten me to think about my choices; this video is just me venting my disappointment that most of them don't go as far as they should.
This theme...it's a perfect theme for them. The whispering/talking in the background could be them trying to entice you. The choir could probably be represented by them singing maybe...?
I think the Yoko thing is supposed to be that she’s Amaterasu. They talk about (but never follow up) about how she disappeared one day after the Japanese gods were all defeated. Also I think the whole Knowledge/ Life thing is a carry over from DevilMan (a lot of SMT comes from DM) in which when devils/ humans fuse, it’s either whoever’s Will is stronger (ie, if Baal is strong enough to beat Naho then he’s strong enough to become the leading consciousness) or it’s just a 50/50 on who’s in charge. But I could be wrong. Baal and Zeus are both technically wrong after all as when they defeat the Nahobino, he just dies lol.
Really liked this video! Honestly the most nice review you have done but it definitely helped me want to play it more as I am someone who hesitated to play it for pretty much the same reason you did. Now back to my Mandala System slop…
It's a very fun and meaningful game! I'm glad my random vids can be encouraging. For the game, I'd recommend not rushing yourself at all and exploring as much as you can, even if you play multiple times. Don't worry about the time or how many days it takes to get through everything because that's almost all for show and you aren't punished for taking your time. Also don't worry about save scumming because you rarely need to succeed to progress (but also don't feel bad about it if you do).
"Gods who reside in Izumo, let this freely become the proof of purification, become the sacred treasure, Mirror of Uka. Eightfold Blessings of Amaterasu on the Weight Stone under the Sunlit Watery Heaven..." "...or something like that."
I was in the middle of playing acnh for the first time in a while and started a treasure hunt, i love this music sm i cant believe i hadnt really noticed it before ❤❤
I still prefer this version over the PSP version because it gives off more of a euphoric vibe with everything is finally over and you, the player, can now rest. The beats in the PSP version kinda offputs me a bit and doesn't drive that feeling home imo. Thanks for extending this btw since I now found this
That's how I feel regarding almost the whole remixed Innocent Sin tracks. Tracks either miss something or the instruments just do not deliver the same vibe as the PSX tracks. I do not hate them but man do they just feel significantly inferior to the PSX tracks. The original tracks composed for the PSP version are really dang good at least.
