I've done junk journals with Altered books for 15yrs. First time doing them from scratch and It looks easy but it's not. Getting those signatures to match with the papers is a real struggle. Especially if your cutter is not cooperating. I struggled last night was up till 3am
Thank you a great video just found it. Have you ever made a spore print on fabric? I’m a fibre artist. I realize I can print fabric from a mushroom photograph but wonder if there’s a way to preserve the spore print on fabric. Thanks for the informative video.
Love this! I'm ready to go out gathering now! Thank you! About how much mordant did you use for each cup of water? And does it matter which mordant you use? Likewise how much gum arabic?
I made my first junk journal after finding you last night! This tutorial is so easy to follow! Thanks so much for being easy to understand and not worrying about perfectionism. It makes it easier for beginners to not worry so much about making mistakes. My first journal turned out great! I’m excited to follow along and learn more. On a side note, I bought a sewing machine a couple years ago and used it twice. I do not know much about sewing but my adhd brain said I needed it. Do you have videos showing the sewing machine processes you use for making journals or just any sewing tutorials? I feel like I would understand your teaching style more than some other videos I’ve watched!
Thank you for showing how to do this no sew technique. I make signatures with a mix of art papers to take on holiday with me, so I have one ‘book’ with lots of options for using different mediums, this would be a great a way of compiling my travel sketches all together as I finish each signature.
You can make fun bird feeders too. And pour painting looks really cool: 1 cup, a bit of 4 different acrylic paints poured in one after the other, and then poured on the outside of the gourd letting it drip and run all over. A hair dryer helps the paint run all over too.
That is beautiful. Thanks for explaining what each piece was. I thought the long cylinder was a medicine bottle of sorts. But instead a pencil. Fabulous
Oh my goodness! I love these so much! Thank. You, thank you so much for sharing your creativity. I'm a new subbie and so happy to have found your channel.💛
Wow!! Such incredible detail! Thank you so much! Thanks for taking the time to create such a great video! I'm so excited to try out some of these dyes ❤❤❤
I watched the three lovely videos of yours. I cannot tell you how much I learned as I am new. I bought so many things and watched videos however yours has been so lovely that I can say I can give it ago. You are a great teacher, easy to follow. I just would like to ask you about the three tools you were using to make these magnificent three holes with the little green thing what do you call them and where can I find them. Would be very grateful. Thank you for sharing. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
