Hello, please tell me, if I plant begonias now, can I put the pots in a dark basement, where the temperature is 8-10 degrees, and transplant in May? Thank you

Hi Santosh. No I'm sorry it isn't possible to send plant material such as these to India I'm afraid due to plant health legislation. Sorry

I use to grow hyacinths when I started junior school back in the 1980’s. I loved and got excited when I gave them to my parents for Christmas🙂 great memories! We use to wrap see through red wrapping paper around it. 🙂🙂

Why pay extra for 'special Autumn seed potatoes'. I keep a few Charlottes in the fridge from my own saved seed potatoes in very little space for a two week Christmas/New year feed. All this nonsense about seed potatoes needing to be certified. How did we ever manage before people wanted money for the privilege of certifying potatoes. Basically it's common sense, you don't keep any of your own seed potatoes if they are blighted, damaged or in any way blemished. I have had more disappointment from certified seed potatoes to be honest and think this comes from shops and garden centres poor storage. Each to their own, but personally I only keep perfect seed potatoes and enjoy them both in early summer and through the festive season when new potatoes can't be found in the shops.

Hi Cheryl, Sorry - We use a good general multi purpose compost. The one we like best here at Fresh is Vitax Q4 multipurpose compost. Its a great all round compost and great for potting most plants. Just £4.99 for a 56lt bag or £3 for 4 bags.
