I think that this might actually be how tom morello made that noise. He liked to play with feedback and the knobs and switches on his guitar to make weird noises.

Amazing! It's sometimes hard to figure out how Morello pulls off some of his sounds until you see it covered by someone capable. One of their odder, underrated cuts but you absolutely nailed it!
Nice, needs a little work, but overall great. The part before the build up I’m pretty sure is on an E. Also try to find a version of the song with no guitar so I can know if it’s you or the album
