I believe Onstar was the biggest one for me, but at the same time, I don't care because I didn't use it anyway. There may be some other features on the radio that you may lose as well, but not 100% what they are/were because I never used them!
These were recommended for a better sound quality, so that's why I went with them. At the end of the day, it's how you set up your whole stereo system. I.E. if you are going to be running amps, no amps, etc.
I am not 100% sure, to be honest with you. I made this video as a tutorial, and I turned mine back on. I believe so, but again, I'm not fully sure. Sorry!
I found it easy to remove the old, damaged bulb - but I had real difficulty getting the new one in - twice the bulb came off the black plastic and dropped somewhere inside the back of the light!...so I lost two bulbs - damn it! i have one more spare to try and thought I'd watch a youtube video to see if I was doing anything wrong...no, it was the same method as MAC...but the gap at the back is soooo tight so i may have to remove the fuse box, as someone did below p.s...my local shop wanted to charge me £10 i'll let you know how i got on : )
Yeah, the area is tight, and it can be difficult to get the new one in. You can try that and see if that works as well. I dont see why it shouldn't! Good luck!
Trying to buy this the guy says my Silverado without camera will work with this. I need one with a camera. He said the kit has everything I need. Is this true?
Depends on what package you are buying. Mine didn't come with one because I didn't need it, but there are packages out there that come with a rear camera, front camera, 360 camera, etc. Just make sure you read the full description of what you are buying.
On my radio i had to do the same but load the picture up in the picture app then i was given the option of use as car wall paper or screen wall paper then reboot and it was in the boot menu. I think also as long as the image is 1280 x 720 jpeg or png will fit... and i dont think you need to change the name as the unit just needs to know what image to use.
First time hearing something like this. Maybe rebooting it again or doing a hard factory reset. If that doesn't help, then I recommend contacting the seller.
Hello. Thank you for your videos. Do you know how configure the video output. I have headrest monitor but I can not configure the video output. Thank you
Thank you very much, and sorry I don't. I don't have any extra items hooked up to the unit at the moment where i need the video in/outputs. I would suggest going on a forum and checking there. I believe there may be a link in the description in this video that will bring you to that forum, and from there, you could search and hopefully find something.
Hi there. i have 2 issues with this headunit. 1. my key panels with the icons on the left does not light up. and 2. my eq settings wont save. once my car engines off, next day turn on the engine. i see my settings were reset. please help. ty!
Yo voy a devolverlo. No tiene entrada para usb ni micro sd. No tiene sentido que yo muestre otro dispositivo conectado. Solo se que entraré al mundo de idiotas donde todo depende del celular 😢
I'm wondering if it is possible to turn this feature off altogether (e.g. using a value of 0 or 1?). I'm considering buying an Audi TT RS but this "lane change" feature is a deal killer for me no matter what the car is. Thanks.
@javidol1544 I believe that you can turn it off, but I am not 100% sure. I am currently on vacation, but I can play with it and try it out once I get back.
If you have the standard radio setup and not bose... you will love it. Day and night difference. I was very skeptical at first, but now I am super happy that I went with these speakers.
@MACSDIY by purchasing and physically installing the buttons on the steering wheel once I know there's a chance they can work without having to mail off a module to be reprogrammed.
How is it laggy, and what is it exactly doing? The only thing that I can think of is that you need to update your head unit, or you may have to return it for another, and may ha e something faulty! I would try updating it first and then going from there.
Should have saved the factory plug, and soldered the new wires to the factory plug, instead of clipping it off. Dont really trust those connectors. Other than that, clutch video my guy
So i got everything set up but my wireless android auto is very laggy is there a fix for this? I just got everything plugged in today, going to update it tomorrow but trying to see if they're any fixes after that
You pretty much said it. I had this issue, but after updating it, I didn't have any issues anymore. I at least try to update the head unit once a month.
When I purchased the truck, the first thing I replaced was the rear camera. When I installed the android head unit, I had to buy a separate cable to make the camera work as shown in the tutorial.
This is what you will need. www.europaparts.com/vcds-vag-com-hex-v2-enthusiast-usb-3-vins.html?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwrIixBhBbEiwACEqDJQA7bJffZLt7vdcNU1Dnt-5HG0xPLfoyYDcC-zVsetMhpqd36OskghoCQ64QAvD_BwE
I am sorry to hear that. Maybe something is wrong with your head unit, or you may have skipped a step. Other than that, I have no clue why it didn't upload for you.
