Yeah, Lasercutter! I knew you'd find it eventually. Those towers in the red grass zones, they are an excellent source of sandstone and that's where you'll find the silver deposits that you need. Diamonds can be found deep, below 200 meters in Shale deposits. The Subnautica wiki told you about the caves on the "rocky" island (as opposed to the floating island) where you can get shale in the caves, that's where the Sunbeam rescue ship was going to land. The game takes the beacon away after the Sunbeam is destroyed so here's how to find it again- From the top of your lifepod, look at the Aurora and then scan the horizon to the left and you'll see a suspicious cloud. That is the "rocky island" that the wiki was referring to. You were actually right next to the island in this episode... So close! Doing great, making progress I see, staying hydrated lol... You should be able to find that last lasercutter fragment in the red grass areas. You can also find them inside those smaller wreck sites, like the one that's close to your lifepod by that volcano vent. Oh, one thing I have to mention is how lucky you are! You've came out of the Aurora wreckage in your Seamoth with your lights on and I thought that angry Reaper was going to grab you for sure. They hate the lights on your vehicle, and by "they" I mean all of them from the Stalkers and Sandsharks to the bigger, more lethal Leviathans. Loving your playthrough! I wish the episodes were longer but you can't have everything...😊
Hey Mike, lol, you were looking at the wrong location buddy. You confused the Aurora (your ship) rendezvous point with the Sunbeam (the rescue ship) landing site... You missed out on a lot, I'd even recommend watching a video where another player actually goes to the Sunbeam landing site just to see all that you missed. The game takes away the special beacon for the Sunbeam landing site after it's destroyed so you won't be able to find it now. Hint, look for any strange clouds on the horizon that might be hiding another island. And lastly, you can replace the battery in your Seaglide instead of making a whole new one. The game doesn't give you the prompt to replace the battery until the battery dies, so there's no way you could have known... Really enjoying your playthrough, stay hydrated!
You are lucky, that big creature out there in front of the Aurora can crush your Seamoth and kill you quick! You dodged it somehow, but those of us who've played the game, we know how much danger you were really in, lol. I thought for sure you were dead, what relief! That thing is called a Reaper Leviathan and it especially hates the lights on your Seamoth, as do most of the other things that dwell in the deep. That roar you heard was it's way of trying to find you by echo-location or sonar. When you hear that sound, take heed Captain! I'm loving your playthrough and looking forward to the next episode!
Wow, 180Gs! Lol... How big are these COD games going to get?!? As far as Subnautica and your hunt for lithium, there's some in the mushroom forest by the Emissary's lifepod, #17 I think. There's also some in the Jellyshroom caves that you explored a little bit, it's the huge cave with pink mushrooms. The thing is, those ultraglide fins that you want to make can only be made from the Modification Station and you haven't found the plans for the Modification Station, so even if you find the lithium, you can't build them yet. It's no big deal but just to let you know, you didn't need to make two sets of fins. When you're ready to make the upgraded fins, you can just take the ones you've been using off, and they go back in your personal inventory to be used at the Modification Station. You're so close to getting the Seamoth plans and the laser cutter, just one more scan I think? I'm enjoying your journey and purposely NOT backseating, lol. Doing great Grumpa, you are moving right along! That multi-airtank strategy takes up a lot of room in the inventory, but it's totally necessary, unfortunately... The Alterra Corporation has all this great space technology, fabricators, phase gates that enable "faster than light" travel... but the airtank technology is kinda wonky, but I still love it. Lol. Real diving is a pain, what with decompression and the bends, not to mention the certifications and the chaffing from the wet suit... No thanks! 😅 The PDA gave you a message way back in episode one that your data base was "corrupted", hence all the scanning. You have things well in hand, everything looks ship-shape to me, we're really enjoying your playthrough and looking forward to the next episode.

As someone who knows the game, watching you swim in back of the Aurora, I was so scared for you. Lol. It would have been a spoiler for me to warn you about him, but you handled it like a pro... Whenever you hear the distant roar, beware! That big scary fish is called the Reaper Leviathan and somehow, he didn't kill you. Well, despite the game crashing, you're making good progress and it looks great here on RU-vid. At least you got to see the Aurora drive core blow up... meh You have the basics locked down now, food and water are no problem and I'm just enjoying your playthrough. I've promised to give you spoiler free advice and right now you're doing great. Cooked fish go bad pretty quickly so you'll want to eat them right away. If you accidentally eat a rotten fish at the wrong time (like when your health, food or water is low) it could kill you. Cured fish are good for "on the go" food and you're collecting salt so, no problem there. That Gravity trap is a pretty cool, and it beats chasing fish around when your hungry. Subnautica is a great game but you do have to save, often. There are no auto-saves unfortunately. You asked for tips, so spoiler free tips you shall receive! To find the rocks that contain lead you'll have to go deeper into the caves, but it's dark down there and you have no light. You're carrying a flare and if you activate it your character will throw the flare. You can then retrieve the lit flare which provides an excellent light source and it will last forever. Somehow your character is able to magically put a lit flare back into the inventory without burning a hole in your wetsuit. Don't ask me how that works, lol. You could also build the flashlight from the fabricator, you've got all the stuff. Sorry about your computer crashing, what a bummer, hopefully you didn't lose too much progress. @@grumpagaming I noticed in this episode of Subnautica that you had at least one glitch that I've seen before in the 2.0 update. You got the notification from your PDA of the Radiation Suit blueprints at the start of the episode, along with text that gave the 10, 9, 8.... countdown to the Aurora's quantum drive core. Normally the PDA gives you the countdown, the Aurora engine explosion happens and THEN you get the Radiation Suit plans, but with Subnautica 2.0 I'm seeing this glitch more and more. One guy I saw got the "out of sync" message, made the Rad suit and then went on over to the Aurora, only to die because he was too close when it blew up. I don't know if this glitch could've lead to your computer crashing, that's beyond my expertise. The rock that contains the Lead is Sandstone, you'll confirm that when you scan it. Sandstone is darker and smoother than Limestone and looks like a potato. Sandstone will also contain Silver and Gold. The best place to find Sandstone is deep in the caves, on those rock towers in the red grass areas and on the deep underwater cliff sides near the red grass. You can find Sandstone in the kelp areas as well but you'll need a source of light. I say all that and you've probably already found it, lol.

@@grumpagaming When you were struggling a little bit and didn't know what you were going to do for food, I was glad just Googled it. There's no sense struggling with a game mechanic that is unclear. Why can't you make nutrient bars from the fabricator? Subnautica gives you a prompt in the lower right of the screen if you need to scan something and the game literally wants you to scan everything. If you pick up a new resource and forget to scan it, you can always drop it on the ground and scan it later when you're in a safe spot.. That Emergency Floatation Device in the tool section, that's a pretty good thing to craft and always have with you. It's reusable and causes a rapid ascent to the surface if you're deep and are running out of air. It costs nothing (a Bladder fish and Silicone rubber) but can really save you in an emergency.
I just love it when I get to watch someone experience this masterpiece. Between Half-Life 2 and Subnautica, it's a tie for all-time favorite.... well, Halo is up there too. No spoilers from me ever, but just to let you know, you can swim faster if you don't have a tool in your hand and are using both hands to swim, which makes sense. @@grumpagaming ...and the Portal games from Valve are great as well. I realize that you've probably, maybe have already done this but if you haven't, I highly recommend making the Pathfinder Tool. Those caves and wrecks can be very confusing and it's saved me several times. Loving your playthrough and looking forward to the next!
@@grumpagaming Another thing that you might find useful is using two air tanks. You have to remember to fill them both everytime you're at the surface or in a vehicle. When you're out of air in one tank you can instantly swap it out (before you die, lol) from your inventory in the PDA. That the spare tank does take up space in your inventory but for certain missions it comes in clutch. I like to play Subnautica in a chill manner, having that extra tank when I go deep gives me the time I need to not feel rushed and go into panic mode. Same for the Pathfinder Tool, it's basically a high tech trail of breadcrumbs... Did you know that dead batteries can be used in recipes at the Fabricator? Save those dead batteries! I'll stop now, I'm careening into spoiler territory, no backseat gaming from me... Take care Captain! Stay hydrated!
