I know this is an older video but ive been having a very similar problem with my super baja rey. I kept thinking the servo was the problem but im literally on my 3rd servo on about 5 battery cycles! Talk about wasting money. Ive even confirmed every servo is fried with a spektrum smart lipo checker. Im really not trying to buy more servos because some are not even lasting one full battery cycle. I also replaced my receiver because I had a spare. Do you think the esc could be the source of all these burnt servos?
@@RUZTY1311Thank you for the information, I think I am going with a 14 tooth then also. I have the same motor combo as you but have not put this thing together yet. So can you rip a full battery pack without heat issues? For me I prefer longer run times and less heat of possible versus all out speed (I'm old 😂) I plan to use my 4s packs 🎉
@@EDCheroYea I go pretty much full out on 4s BUT i did add a fan to it to help with temps. Before I added the fan though the hottest I hit after about 15 minutes of non stop track like bashing was around 150-160°. So you going with a 14t pinion should be perfectly fine! And that'll actually help keep it planted on the ground. I also dont really care about top speed, just as long as I have enough power to make it backflip with ease 😂 I love this truck! Im going to go charge a battery and play in the backyard....you got me wantin to bash 😁
Its not everybody's cup of tea but you'd have to like 10th scale to appreciate just how awesome it is haha! I do believe they are working on an a new MT48 👍
They are emulsion. The issue is I still have thick fluids in there from when I was running on hard packed clay haha I need to throw a little thinner fluid and maybe softer springs 😅
4:10 the SCT410 2.0 is the exact same way. Points its nose straight at the ground as soon as it takes off if you don't hold full throttle off the jump. Way different from what I'm used to with buggies.
@@RUZTY1311the 2.0 definetly helped a lot with the issue but the trick everyone runs is using the eb springs when hitting jumps this big. It works great since it gets in a ready stance as soon as it lands for the usual 1/10 sct jumps but for bigger stunts the eb springs help a lot. Specifically in the rear. The car kinda bounces before you hit a jump the eb springs and slightly messing with the oil will change that.
I bought some! I just need softer springs now because they're too stiff stock haha But also, I broke the front axle the other day so aluminum one on the way 😅
so how exactly did you fit the bolt onto the socket? 2 days ago i put the wrong socket on the spark plug too but it wont loosen the sparkplug and it is stuck in there. I put jbweld in the socket and stuck an extension in there. hopefully its strong enough to loosen the sparkplug but if not i will follow your method. i just need to know how to fit a bolt into the socket...
First I just tried to impact gun/screw it in, but eventually I hammered it in but not very hard lol Tried my best not to get the socket jammed further down BUT the olive oil is what helps it come out 😊
I imagine with a hard enough hit it definitely will crack a bit haha There was no damage after this session though so its actually decent...which surprised me 😅
@@RUZTY1311 i have the son uva digger and I have a bunch of videos on my channel. The only thing i broke all last summer was a servo(which the stock one is cheap, sp it was expected) and other than that I broke a sway bar, which I don't need for freestyle anyways. I've done at least 500 backflips and the axles are still great. This summer i'm gonna install rear steer on it. Excited for that.

I have a gravedigger. After owning it for years I found out that with the 3 s arrma 17 mm wheel hexes and plastic traxxas bodybwashers behind the hex you can use any regular 17 mm wheel hex tires. 👊😎

Thanks for posting this video , I followed everything exactly, except I had some PB Blaster on hand and let it sit over night and used the original JB Weld and let it cure for 24hrs. grinded that fork thing from the Harbor Freight Slide hammer and voila! Two whacks of the slide hammer and it was off. I even tried by hand first but no luck . But dang JB weld is good stuff !!
So I forgot to come back to this and let everyone know I figured it out. I brought it down to 15a and basically set it to just below storage voltage and it usually brings me pretty close to 3.8v per cell 👍 Even with a 6s battery it doesnt take more than 5 mins to discharge from full 😊
Hey bud, if the internal resistance of the lipo is high at 35amp draw it will have voltage sag over 1v so it will cause the unit to shut off prematurely. Try just a 1c discharge rate on older packs
I've been trying to set up a track in my backyard. We have issues here in this part of FL with our dirt not being actual dirt. Pretty much sand where I'm at. Looking into turf right now. I'm jealous! Have fun man.

Yeah it's bad. The stuff is always fluffy. We have a clay track about a half hour away that's a blast. Actually just just got home from there. I'm considering hauling in a bunch of clay for my backyard.
