Kiitos hyvästä videosta. Tämän oireena on se että kun avaimesta kääntää ei kuulu mitään ääniä, mm bensapumpun käynnistymistä/surinaa. Myös sammuu kesken ajon ja jäähdyttimen tuuletin huutaa täysillä. Paras tapa korjata on tosiaan vaihtaa tämä koko K40 boksi uudempaan missä on paremmat tinaukset ja uudet relet. Toinen erinlainen käynnistys oire on se että mittaristostassa lukee 'start error', bensapumppu surisee mutta auto ei käynnisty, katsoin että olet aikaisemmin tehnyt videon tuosta, oletko löytänyt siihen ratkaisua? Netistä kun tutkii keskusteluja niin todennäköinen syy lienee avaimen ja käynnistyksen eston yhdistämishäiriöt, mikä on tässä mallissa erittäin yleinen ongelma auton vanhetessa.
Minulla joskus teki sitä, että auto käynnistyi, jos tyrkkäsi avaimen virtalukkoon ja nopeasti starttia, mutta tuli start error, jos laittoi virran päälle, odotti pari sekuntia ja sitten starttia. Ongelma korjaantui vaihtamalla edellisen omistajan asentama ulkoinen bensapumpun rele oikeantyyppiseksi ja toimi taas hyvin pari vuotta.
Mulla on tapana aina ekana etsiä merkit kohdilleen ennenkuin puran. Ettei käy sitä ikävää tilannetta ventiilit ja männät kohtaavat toisensa ku etitään merkkejä. Hienosti sujui remminvaihto. Noita kiinteitä pyöriä tuli joskus vastaa -90 luvulla en kyl enää oo nähnyt.
Hi From UK and thankyou for your informative video.Can i ask what switches you would perhaps check first? The roof goes down into boot no problem with light pulsing as normal..However the roof will not raise..no noise no red light. i have have since raised the roof manually ... but each time it wont raise. Peter
@@zJanneKz Roof in boot .. Ignition on..Red light flashes once. Move switch back, light comes on and hear motor sound. Move switch forward to raise roof..no light no motor sound. After raising roof by hand. Turn ignition on move switch back..red light comes on and roof folds into boot no problem. Thankyou Peter

Do you know does it say anywhere on the engine block or wherever what the size of cc is I think I've had my engine replaced in mine it's supposed to be 230 but the engine number has been rubbed off not sure why?? I wonder if there's anywhere the capacity is stamped on the Block separate to where the engine number would be. I'm thinking the timing marks might be different on the smaller cc engine but I don't know what they should be in degrees if anybody knows. A better way when using the wire to fasten the hose is to get your length double it so you've got a eye at one end feed it round the hose put it through the eye and the other two pieces around again and feed it through the other side of the eye and Bend it over and cut off the excess. you don't need to twist it and can cause the pipe to break and looks unsightly and is not a such a good fastener. You want to soften the hose take it off put it in a glass tub or plastic container of water, put it in the microwave for 15 minutes when you take it out immediately spray it liberally with silicon oil.and it would be good to spray silicone oil anyway prevent it cracking in the future or going hard do this once year on all rubber will always stay compliant.
According to Wikipedia, 2.0 engine has 78.7 mm stroke and 2.3 has 88.4 mm. You probably can put stick to sparkplug hole, rotate engine and measure length of stroke that way.
Hey doing the same thing right now , you got A Saleri Sil PA766 as replacement too right? We have troubles with the wtaerpump wheel (3screws) when we put it back on ot gets locked up , in your video its just on there magicly, did you put q spacer more or so???
hello, after (I think) a change of gearbox plate by me on 722.6 of my slk R170... Impossible to read ECM etc..er I'm lost... can you help me please????
Check first if you have power ECU. Middle relay in K40 relay box delivers power to fuses F2 and F3 and one of them (I can't remember which one) goes to ECU. Turn ignition on and check if 12 V on F2&3. If not, most likely K40 needs repairing/replacing. Notice also that cooler fan starts blowing on full speed when ECU has no power.
I have a SLK Mercedes 230 and 1999 model. I unlock the car I put the keys in to the staff position the red light for the mobiliser goes out and when I go to start it it comes up start error. I have done the k40 And still does not start. There is spark to the engine there is fuel in the fuel rail It feels to me that the car is not telling the injectors to open for the fuel. I can take the air pipe off the throttle body and turn the car over manually and put fuel down and it fires up. But it will not start off the key it turns over for two seconds then shut down. Have you got any idea what this issue is? Thank you.
Did you check if fuel rail has right fuel pressure? It should be around 3.5-4 bar. You should get strong fuel squirt when pressing fuel rail valve. Do you have any fault codes?
@@zJanneKz hi there is high-pressure fuel in the rail it . Do you think this could be a mobiliser issue because we have changed the mobiliser unit and it’s still the same so we put the old one back in.
@@tonymaddison3554 What is this mobiliser you are talking about? The box behind instrument panel? You wrote "red light for the mobiliser goes out" but I haven't such light in my 99. Do you have aftermarket immobilizer or something there? But anyway: you need to have ECU, immobilizer box and chip in key fob from same car or it won't start.
A quick catch up and update on my SLK Mercedes 230. Well, all RU-vid the car is now working. I had the ECU and mobiliser sent away to get it opened up. i .e To deactivate the immobiliser through to the ECU and this has solved the problem so if you’ve got start error on your dashboard this is the problem not a key not the k40 not the ring around the key ignition this is the problem. Don’t do what I did and chuck lots of money at it to find out I could’ve saved a lot of money.
Kiitos Janne hyvistä ohjeista. Kytkin on mahdollista vaihtaa myös ilman että ottaa irti koko alapaneelia. Riittää että ottaa mustan paneelin polkimien ympäriltä pois, toki näin tilaa on hieman vähemmän työskennellä ja näkyvyys osaan on heikompi. Otin itse kuvan liittimen sijainnista ja käsituntumalla irroitin ja kiinnitin sen.

Kiitos, kuntoon tuli. Omat huomiot: staattori oli niin tiukas että jos en olisi tiennyt että siellä on magneetti niin olisi usko loppunut. Yhtäkkiä kuitenkin kun "väänsin sopivasti" niin lähti nätisti irti. Samaten alempi laakeri oli todella jumissa akselin ympärillä. Sen sai nätisti kammettua irti pitkällä pultilla, pultinkanta laakerin alle ja väänsi niin lähti.

La persona que está revisando la falla en el auto, me informa que está Activado el bloqueo anti robo, por lo cual el auto no se puede colocar en servicio.
@@mancykall7394 If nothing happens when you try to start, most common problem is faulty K40 relay box that doesn't deliver 12 V to ECU. When you turn ignition on, K40 fuses F2 and F3 should have 12 V. If not, K40 may have cracked solder or faulty relay. When you turn ignition on and cooling fan starts blowing after a while, that usually means ECU has no 12 V.

Joo saan silleen starttaan että käännän avaimesta suoraa niin pyörähtää kerran mutta tulee start errori ja sit lopettaa pyörimisen. Ja nyt tutkin että mikää sulake ei auta toho koko ajan virrat päällä olemiseen. Sama piuhat ku laittaa valoboksii kun sulla videossa syttyy koetaulu valot.🤔
vikaha oli sit aivan muuss mutta alkuperänen ongelma on eli mitä sillukin tossa videolla ja samalla systeemillä saa auton toimii kun ottaa ton yhden piuhan irti. mulla ei mikää sulake tee poista ongelmaa kuten sulla tuossa näkyykin onko mahollista että vika olisiki näissä tulevissa pouhoissa?

Onko näin vuosien jälkeen pysynyt vaihtolaakeri ehyenä? Täällä joku mutisi huonosta koneen laadusta mutta kyllä näitä laakereita menee ihan joka merkissä hajalle. Tiedän tällä hetkellä kaksi 2000-luvun alussa rakennettua taloa joissa molemmissa Ilto lto-kone ja laakerin volisee. No kiva tietää että helppo remontti edessä. Kiitos. Myös ekolookista niinku EU nykyään tahtoo kaiken olevan. Valmistajat toki myisivät mielellään uuden koko elämän sulle vanhan tilalle. Tiedätkö muuten onko keinoa parantaa noiden vanhojen lto koneiden hyötysuhdetta? Uusi koneikko maksaa kuitenkin muutaman tonnin. Sekä uudet että vanhat koneet on pelkkiä peltilaatikoita, mutta uusissa taitaa olla enempi sitä keinoälyä mukana? Nykyään termostaatkitkin keskustelee keskenään että palellutaanko asukas hengiltä vai antaako sen vielä elää armon vuosia kunnes terminaattorit hallitsee koko maailmaa.
Tämän videon jälkeen on tullut jo kahteen kertaan vaihdettua, viimeeksi viime syksynä. Pitäisi kai etsiä kalliimmat laakerit, ehkä sitten kestäisi pidempään...
