To answer that last question about Eldin ring, it was after the battle with Randahn, Malennia was carried unconscious by her soldiers back to the tree where i don't think she wakes up until after we meet her. So I guess she wouldnt have know her brother went missing? Funny enough she doesn’t have much reason for attacking us, although I believe in her programming she actually will only observe the player and pace sideways not attacking until you actually approach. A neat detail. I think some people speculate that the twins aren’t actually gone since miqella was in the middle of trying to use the tree to evolve his body as part of his plans, so hes like half a cocoon person, and Malenia i think if you revisit her room theres a giant flower waiting to blossom. So who knows maybe DLC stuff. There was apparently an entire order/ending for Miquella I think as he too has ideals of how the world should be governed, a world of plenty where everyone can equally have everything, probably seen through his tree having mostly those who are oppressed or exiled. He sees all as equals.
