Still working on it slowly but surely! My computer was down for a while and just managed to make it work again but i don’t for how long! 😅 The whole skate ranch project is taking more time and energy than i would have thought but i’m still moving forward and working hard to make it happen. I have a lot of footage i need to edit to start making new episode, i’m just not sure my computer will be up for the task tho… but I’m planing on getting a new one as soon as possible. Like i always say… if it was easy everybody would do it!
Merci Bernard! Je doutais beaucoup de mon positionnement avec les nuage au début de la soirée en voyant les aurores dans toutes les autres directions mais je suis content d’avoir résisté à l’envie de tout déplacer….
I literally binge watched this entire series the last 2 days. I was so upset when I hit the last episode 😂. So inspiring man, I hope you get back on the horse and post some more.
Thanks man! Really appreciate it ☺️ Hopefully I’ll get a new computer soon and get back in the editing chair, i have so much footage and stories to tell. It’s been quite the adventure so far, it’s not always easy but i’m still pushing forward!
Nobody shows sealer being applied . We are trying to stop erosion of our park by applying sealer every now and again. Seems to be working. Any tips on how to resurface a 20,000 ft skatepark easily ? Lol.
Did not apply any sealing on mine or at the diy park i used to volunteer. 3 years in and it’s been holding on fine without it. I might use some in the future but if the concrete is good and not to much water was applied to finish it can hold it own without it. Especially in my case where there is no de icing salt coming in contact with it. I don’t know where you live but de icing salt can ruined concrete in colder climates. As for resurfacing their is no magical cure unless is the concrete is eroding, trying to patch will most likely chip away and grinding the surface will probably worsen the issue if the concrete is already weak. I think your doing the best that can be done by slowing down the erosion with sealant. There is no magical cure except redoing the whole thing haha
Thanks man! It’s always easier sais than done haha! It’s not always easy but thats what make it fun too! I’m still pushing forward slowly but i have plans ahead! Should be back on the Tube soon!
This series has been awesome to watch! Smashed out all the vids in one sitting, it was so easy and entertaining to watch. I loved all the wood clearing and path rebuilding, definitely need more videos on those! I'm also a skater and watching you work those concrete trannies was a blessing, keep up the good work man and I hope you are still going strong, can't wait for more episodes!
the vids are great, watched the whole story. i'm in ontario, i'd help you on your next project if you get in touch. i started skating again last year, i'm way better with concrete! take care. @@SkateboardRanch
Dam I would love to see this series continue with builds and other things at the ranch I wonder what it looks like now have you continued to add onto it?
Thanks a lot and don’t worry, It will continue! I didn’t add any concrete since the ramp but i have been working on clearing more trails and new areas to build in the future. I’m working slowly but surely on some new stuff!
I know man! I have been struggling to find the right way to do my update video. Its been a long time and i feel like there is so much to say that its hard to organize everything in a cohesive story line…. But im seriously working on it
Thanks man! I had the original idea of the hat mixed with a skateboard but Lebicar, the artist that created it really captured what i had in mind. I’m stoked on that logo :)
Thanks man! Don’t worry their should be some new episodes available soon! Comments like yours are really motivating me to keep filming and sharing my adventures! Thanks again for the support! 😊
@patewok3649 hard to tell, she just showed up at the ranch one day. Brought her to the vet and they said she was probably 6 or 7 . I had her for 3 years so she must have been 9/10. I tied to give her the best years of her life even tho i have no idea what her life was before. She was so thin and dirty when i rescued her so it was an improvement thats for sure! Haha! I like to think that she was roaming around and waiting for the best person for her and adopted me haha!
Would it have been as much work to have built the base out of clay / gravel / soil mix? and thend have the concrete site on dirt, like an in ground pool would look? or is it easier to build the frames? and another question, Has anyone tried to build one of these with heavy fiber Crete and no rebar?
It all depends on the situation. In that particular spot i would have had to gat at least 6 load od sand a around 300$ a pop. Then i would have had to sculpt everything to the right dimensions and everything. For me it was the best solution for the ramp but most of my futur build will use the shape of the existing land as much as possible to make obstacles. As for fiber i wouldn’t recommend it, the fibers tend to stick out and it is a lot harder to have clean and smooth finish on the slab.
Yep it is actually the second time the algorithm gives a massive push. Close to 30k views in the past 7 days…. It’s like a 3000% increase out of nowhere! I’m stoked lol
