I love how in long ago little boys were put in little gowns and dresses. My mom says it was because not too many parents could afford little pants and they were hard to find. If anyone else has ideas let me know....
She is the most photogenic person I have ever seen but I have never heard of her. No, my parents never kissed me on the lips (or touched me inappropriately) and we were very close. Mouth kisses were reserved for romantic love. I guess it takes all kinds.
I saw her at a coffee shop in Burbank years ago. She looks much lighter in person than on film and she actually has freckles. Didn’t seem to be a pleasant person. Maybe she was having a bad day. That coffee shop is frequented by Hollywood actors so people who went there who weren’t in the industry weren’t star struck by famous actors when they walked in . I was thinking maybe she put on a mean facade to avoid being bothered by people who are star struck but aforementioned… famous actors frequently sat at that particular coffee shop. It was in the midst of the major studios so people in the area weren’t fazed by the big wigs. I chalked it up to her just having a bad day. She’s human first then an actress , and they have bad days as well.
I'm so glad Cicely divorced Miles Davis because only a few other things will age a woman and damage her mental and physical health more---than continuing to stick by a toxic, self destructive, self hating man. CT got to live another 30+ years in harmony with herself, by doing what she wanted to do, and how she wanted to do it.
I feel like if Ava Gardner were passing, wouldn't she be afraid associating with other races would increase the odds of her being found out? I feel like the fact she didn't hide it leans more towards her not being passing. I know Marilyn Monroe was also, idk if they were friends, but apparently, Monroe told the owner of this place that whenever he hired Ella Fitzgerald to sing she promised to be sitting in the front row. If Monroe wasn't as public as Ava Gardner was with her mixed-race friendships, and Monroe was covering up a Hispanic heritage, I think that might be even further evidence that Ava Gardner was just white.
The camera absolutely loves her. Her pictures are soooo much better than the models of today. I didnt see one picture of her that wasnt out of this world beautiful......
Haiti is 80% black and 20 percent mix. Your need to make more ressearch the souther and some part of the north like cap haitian and gonaive. The darker skin in haiti is Port de paix.
This reminds me of the white passing woman that pretended her husband was her slave … They took a train (I think it was) to their freedom ❤️💐 It was a book I read in elementary school
Her book was quoted by New York Times as “a balm for the afflicted”… and I couldn’t have said it any better. I would encourage every woman of color to add it to their reading list. She was a gift and believed that we all are gems with something magnificent to contribute to this world. And though you may not agree with every single stance she took, her honesty and self reflection connection to her intuition, and laser focus on her purpose is NOTHING short of inspiring ❤️ sleep in peace Ms Tyson
