Doesn’t the time it takes to make these casts, and the added cost in materials and labor decrease the likelihood that these would be an option for patients over a traditional plaster cast?
These are great products. I'm amazed Dr's are still using those old plaster & fiberglass. Those fiberglass aren't waterproof underneath next to the skin & you can never get dry. Mine ended up stinking as I was always active & in/out of the surf + I couldn't scratch or wash properly. It was totally gross when they buzz-sawed the cast off, not to mention how much sand I collected lol. I've broken a couple of limbs and this would've been awesome. Nice one #ActivArmor ! Love that trauma splint as well. They all look very cool too!
2:28 I don't get this part. Why did he put the hand in the box of water? Otherwise the cast part is more relatable than there is radiation in chernobyl's 4th reactor.
