Great question - as far as I know, the footswitches are only for swapping rigs, engaging pedal models, and accessing the tuner or looper - I don't believe you can assign effect parameters to them. Thanks for checking out the video!
@JustinBlair yeah kind of a drag that it's not possible but not a total loss either I suppose 🤷♂️ Sounds amazing though! Like the sounds I get out of it. May or may not trade it in and get the Kemper profiler player. Thanks for your response dude!
Diggin the middle finger inlats! Very nice FF! Customer service? Thats red flag for me. I have yet to even receive a response from a case inquiry. Maybe it got lost in the ether. However, I did pickup the 3 pup SG style guitar about a week ago, and it was instantly the best one I own. I dont own any high dollar, but it blows my squire and epiphone LP special out of the water. I am currently waiting on a Katalox 338, will be my first ever semi hollow. I cant wait!
They are some really fun guitars, hell yeah! Ah, sorry to hear about your customer service issues - maybe open another case ticket? Possibly just got overlooked. That SG looks killer - that might have to be my next one! Thanks for checking out the video!
Great question - What I bet you could do is create a stereo split rig, with the L side including an IR and the R side without an IR, then use the L and R outputs as two separate outputs. I haven't tried this but I think it should work...
Good question! Yes you definitely can, but you may want to make adjustments on both the amp and the MX5 to make sure your sound is coming out normal. For example, make sure to have the amp on the Clean channel, and adjust the eq to balance any eq-ing on the Headrush. Thanks for watching!
When I run my headrush, pedalboard or MX five through my Mesa Mark Four I do the 4K cable method, but sometimes I’ll bring my head rush FRFR’s and run straight in
I love the JST IR’s Joey Sturgis tones. And for 30 bucks I probably got 100 different ones that are really good. They’re really the only ones I use now.
Plug it straight threw a amp. Or better still straight into a pa mixer desk i plug a hotone mp100n into a line aray pa and mixing desk and is unusable. Had to go back to my real valve amp
Thanks for checking it out and the kind words! Glad it was helpful. Hm that's a good question - I'm not positive, but it seems to be categorizing different users who created the tones. Possibly ''verified'' users?
It sounds good, easy to use but after 1 year suddenly endless hissing, crazy background noises... returned under warranty and replaced.... the new one arrived the day after and connected to the same computer IMPOSSIBLE TO READ THE USB DEVICE ... in practice it can be used as a sound card but it is impossible to transfer files from the computer to the device. Returned and bye... really a shame because the product is well made, it sounds great but the reliability is shit.
Hi, great video thank you! I have one question. On my MX5 the drop tune pedal only seems to go down whole steps? Could you share how you dropped to E flat tuning? I am not seeing anything for dropping half step down. Thanks!
Thanks for checking out the video! Glad it was helpful. The drop tune pedals are actually in increments of half steps, so dropping '1' on the Headrush actually means dropping a half step. Hope that helps!
Thanks for checking out the video! Glad you enjoyed it - it does make a slight pop the first or second time you engage it after turning it on, but that dissipates if you click it a couple times (like many micro pedals in this price range.)
Sorry for the late reply - There is a drop tune option, but the way I have raised the pitch before is to add a chromatic harmonizer, but have the effects level at 100%, and the dry level at 0%. Thanks for checking out the video!
Hi, I just wanted to give an update on the P800 I had delivered yesterday. I’ve spent a couple hours playing it and figuring out the app. And I got to say I love the guitar and the app! I figured out how to do almost everything, and the app works perfect and in my opinion, and I don’t find it difficult to navigate. I was a bit concerned on that, as the reviews on the app were pretty negative. But I gladly found it to be the opposite of what the complaints were. The only thing I couldn’t figure out was how to put my own rigs on the 4 buttons on the guitar? If you could help me on that, I would appreciate it! I got the red P800 because it came with the pedal, and a little amp, and was $50 less than the same guitar alone. And well it’s not red! lol! It’s orangish/red! Kind of like tomato soup made with milk color. Not the color I would ever purposely want. But with that said, I don’t care, the guitar plays so good! It was set up perfect out of box, the neck and frets were very smooth, and just plays fantastic! I’ve only had it a day, but got nothing bad to say about the way it plays and sounds! Thank you again for your great review!
Glad to hear you're enjoying the guitar! Hopefully the color grows on you in time haha, but worst case scenario, a paint job is always an option too.... To put your rigs on the 4 banks switchable through the button, just pop four different tones on one of the bank channels (1A 1B 1C 1D for example) then you should be able to toggle through those four with the knob's button. Enjoy!
I bought the P800 going to be here Friday. I never even thought of this until you said it at the beginning of the video. But does the guitars effects you set up on the super button only work if the app is on and connected, or will the four you save on the guitar still work without app being connected? Would be kind of a bummer if the effects don’t work once saved to guitar without the app. That would mean I would have to have a Wi-Fi signal wherever I wanted to play the guitar using the built in effects. I’m hoping I heard you wrong?
Thanks for checking out the vid, and great question - Once the 4 tones are stored in the guitar, you do NOT need to turn the app on to access them; they'll be stored in the guitar's internal memory. Also, just FYI, you won't need a WiFi signal to change the tones from your app either - you connect directly to your guitar from your phone. Hope that's helpful!
@@JustinBlair Thank you for the response! I was hoping I heard you wrong! And also, thanks for the great video! You helped me to understand how to use the app better than most of the videos I e watched!
@@HumbleHeartMinistry I'm glad I could help! I appreciate the kind words - hope the delivery on Friday is smooth, and that you love this kickass guitar
I have a brand new cabinet from Harley Benton and when I connect it to a Hughes and Kettner Spirit of Rock amp there's a really loud amp noise when it's turned on and I don't play. Even when the gain is at minimum. Will a noise killer be able to silence this?
Hmm, it might - does the amp still make that noise when you unplug the guitar cable from it? If the noise is from something in the amp, a noise killer might not help, but if it is humming coming from an issue in the guitar or the cables, it should be able to help that.
Great demo. I am a bit new on guitar, I did buy it to keep training at night using my electric guitar instead of acoustic with phones... what do you think about this idea?
Thanks very much! Yeah that's a great idea - perfect way to cut down on the ambient room noise, AND try out different acoustic tones at the same time - very cool
@@JustinBlair thanks for this quick answer. I was wondering if is good idea, thats why I posted the question. Thank you to use your time to answer me. Much appreciated, as well I notice that the technique in the electric must be more specific otherwise sounds like out of tune, something not noticed on the acoustic so easy. But perhaps is a way to refine the techniques too :)
Ah, that's a good question - I'm not sure, since I haven't tried that. I know you can add an expression pedal to Headrush units, but I'm not sure about a switch for the looper...
Hi there...thanks Justin, for all the tips.. I have one question...do you know how to Fix the delay switching when you press one of the three buttons to change rigs or Anything elese?... have a good one!
Hey how's it going? Just to make sure I am answering right - do you mean making the delay timing/bpm change each time you change the rig? If so, you just have to go into hardware settings, and change the bpm to 'fixed' - I hope that helps! Thanks for checking out the vid!
@@JustinBlair hey Justin...all good...no, my question is about when you are playing, and you press any switching button, the sound of that other scene or rig comes with a little bit delay, so, It sounds weird, sounds Like if you fuck up your your playing..jeje
@@energaiasolarpack Oh interesting! I don't know if I have experienced that... If I remember correctly, I think the rig switches when the button is released, not when it is first pushed down - might that be the issue? Otherwise, the unit might need a software update, just in case it's a glitch...
Hi, I have a question to your present number 007. I see you are using a stock cab instead of an IR. Is it possible to get a good sound with such set up in a live situation going straight to FOH or do you simply use other pedals etc to make it work? I am asking as I am not able to get a decent sound out of the stock cabs...
Great question - the stock cabs definitely can be used for some great tones, when mixed right (either live or in studio) BUT I personally vastly prefer IRs - when I actually play live, I almost always use IRs instead of cab sims. Have you downloaded their Celestion IRs? They're great. If you are interested in purchasing IRs, York makes some great ones. Thanks for checking out the vid!
@@JustinBlair I did and I do like them :) still learning how to use them properly in a mix. Thank you for your quick answer! Soon I will play my 2nd gig with headrush. hopefuly it will work well..
