These caves are much much much older than 2,000 years old! It was carved by a lost civilization. It was simply used as a water well. The striation is to count the depth of water. It was carved by a machine.
I KNOW this person is super cool and interesting because her hair is asymmetrical and colorful in a way that says, "I'm definitely not trying very hard to get your attention!"
It was not rum it was water rations on the bounty , he did not want the breadfruit plants to die , the rum rebellion was much later in Bligh's career when he was shipped out to Australia . He had an very long career in the Royal navy having joined at 7 years old , he also sailed on expeditions with Cap Cook (BB ), and fought in navel battles against the French Navy (AB ) , he was far from a JERK . go read some books on Bligh before you do a piss poor presentation of a Good man , but i guess the 15 min of fame will do for you .
3/20/24...........I just discovered these hidden caves,...by accident on You Tube about a week ago. And have been amazed by the mystery of them. I assumed there has to be many unknowable discoveries. That modern humans have yet to explain.

Fun speaker. The answer, though, is obvious. The commie government has been building giant empty cities for decades. This is just one of their "cultural significance" projects. They made them with modern machinery and just made the score lines "similar". They floated the barges of sandstone down stream for more building projects, and made the new ancient aliens "high technology" caves for tourism. A few of them they screwed up and they collapsed. The 60cm walls were done with modern electronic sensors, the dig out with giant diesel machines, and the clean up and repopulation and silencing by THE AUTHORITARIAN CHINESE COMMIE GOVERNMENT.
I saw a meme about the story and wanted more context, God I got the context and then some, this made me shed tears of joy, awesome story brilliant execution, Chapeau!

I can never get past the reason the pond was drain "fisherman finds a big fish the other fisherman's decide to drain the pond to catch other fish" yeah sound reasonable specially at a time where the region was going through mass starvation having a hard time producing food for there over growing population

It is my understanding that the caves have to be constantly pumped out or they will fill with water. I have never heard anyone offer a theory on how this was done when it was built.

I'm a professional magician, and my hobby is learning advanced mathematics. As much as I would love to believe in spiritual manifestations, they ALWAYS turn out to be magic tricks. Twice following my performances, bowing to my conscience, I have secretly revealed simple tricks to astonished spectators who adamantly told me they had never believed in real superhuman abilities before they saw my show. One was a genuine rocket scientist; the other was a physics professor. 😎
While entertaining, this talk is full of inaccuracies, exaggerations, and flat out falsehoods. It makes no attempt to approach or understand the life of Rudolf through the lens of his own world and instead reads through a 21st century perspective. This is, frankly, bad history.
At a certain point I realized that the speaker has little demonstrable interest in doing history and is instead telling a story with loose historical inspiration. The point is to tell a story or fable that reinforces the speaker’s point of view and engage in auto-affirmation about the same point of view. History is used by the speaker in this instance to do nothing more nor less than to give herself and her audience a self-congratulatory pat on the back.
Kind of shows a lack of research talking about the wall carvings as if they were a part of the original structure. The majority of the carvings were created in modern times for tourists to view.
