Great video, question, I see you had the premium camping area, were you able to pick a spot anywhere or was there attendants telling you where to go? Also, are you planning on going this year?
Yall would have loved it back in the day. No cell phones not many people the only way to talk were the o,d cb radios and in Apalachicola forest it didn't have cell service 15 years ago.
When did they start letting you camp side of the trail? Back when it was buckeye you could only camp at the camping areas? I don't think i have been down there since it became a state forest. With all the road improvements they did to many people lol
That was a nice piece of property, we looked at it twice. It has a lot of work that's already been done to it, but would need a significant amount more to make it somewhat usable. There's a few restrictions in place that are actually going to prevent us from pursuing this specific property unfortunately.
Just got back last night from there we spent two nights in Carrabelle never met so many rude people the locals there absolutely suck period we had a guy Saturday night in a white pickup truck coming straight at us turns his brights on coming straight over all the way up against our doors there's four of us in a group he decides to turn his truck around and start following us I was in the rear so he got up on our rear end, just like you said at exactly 23 minutes into your video. I live in Jacksonville Florida also have a house in Ocala National Forest first time I've been to these Trails never again not that I'm scared my opinion is it just sucks the whole area sucks
Thanks for sharing the map info. I am in TN and was up exploring in LBL this past weekend. They had several of the areas on the Southwest blocked off as they were hunting feral hogs. I found several good waterfront spots but most were only suitable for maybe 2 trucks - no tent spots however, probably RTT only. Makes me want to pull the trigger on a rack / RTT setup...
For sure! I made it all the way down the back side of that damn mountain, slip in and sliding every which away, and I get to the freaking road and the truck slid off into the ditch lol.
Why is the tent on the truck looking like it is leaning way to much on the passengers side? Don't you level out when you get to camp? That can't be comfortable. The entire truck is leaning, not just the tent.
Optical illusion due to the drop off on the driver side of the terrain. There was enough of a slope that it made the vestibule bunch up and was high on the driver side. Notice the blocks under driver side front... Thanks for watching, please subscribe if you haven't already!
It's hard to keep them things goin' without " juice". I know the spots y'all camped they all have a right time of year. Always fire wood at 210 around deer season. If ya' get back this way give me a holler. Not to barge in on a camp but local safety never hurt. Nice Adventure. ZZ.
Nice movie guy's. Dec. 2022 I turned 65 an little brother came in an we started where y'all finished! From there we went through 305,306,307 an308 in only 8hr 45min. Awesome day! I live not far so I'm there all the time. I took a fall an my channel took a dive but the last video is a good one. Keep on the trails. Enjoyed. ZZ.
I thought you said there would be a link in the description about the area. Could you please provide more info, maybe link to GPS map or something. I am wanting to ride this now!
