I was at Kubasaki HS taking a history cl ass when our teacher introduced us to George and Mariner. He let them practice at his home. I got the album with all the players signing it. I carried that album with me for over 30 yrs when I eventually left it somewhere. Broke my heart.
Awesome band. I played with Hoff and Glenn in Okinawa (Change of Years), and saw Murasaki a hundred times downstairs ("Live House") in 76-77. Great times with great friends. Love ya Hoff, and RIP my friend. John, thanks for posting this video.
Countless hours sitting in the living room of the band house while John Pringle, Morgan Hoffler, George Higa-Mursaki, JJ Pattersonand Glenn Ford hone these songs to perfection. Still friends 40 years later.
First heard of these guys in 1980. I had a crappy cassette copy of their first album. About 3 years ago I tracked down that same album and bought it. Still in regular rotation for me.

dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/rulesandregulations/dronesanduas/index.htm Based on the attached link, drones are now restricted in all PA state parks except for a handful of locations. However, even the exceptions limit the usage of drones to specific designated locations within those parks.
Yeah I had just noticed that page.. its unfortunate that a few ruin it for everyone else. Most of us just want to shoot some aerial videos and pictures of these areas, not intrude on anyone or do anything dangerous. The irony of this.. Racoon Creek State park isnt listed as one of those allowed areas and if memory serves me correct, there is an RC airfield/club right in the middle. National parks are definitely off limits, with fines up to $1000.
Thank you for posting!!! I know these guys from my time in Okinawa. (1978-1981) I loved their stuff and was actually reminiscing about those times wondering what had become of them.
Loved this song... must have heard it a thousand times at the old Band House in Awase but it was always one of my favorites. I think a Mariner reunion on Okinawa is called for LOL
