I’m glad to hear you are feeling better! Both layouts are pretty, but I am waiting impatiently for spring here so I liked the cherry blossom spread the best! 🌸 Have a lovely weekend!
Louise, so happy that you are feeling better. Both pages are wonderful but I’ve lately been going through a pink phase. We are still in summer here and I love the pink flowers in everyone else’s gardens~lol.
They are both lovely! Having just returned from two weeks away I am struggling to get back into my journals…… I have a bag full of collected ‘stuff’ for my travel journal and so far have completed two out of 14 days 🤪 these two calm quotes might just be what I need to get me going again 😊
The folio looks nice, however, I would not purchase one. It’s very expensive. I have a genuine leather handbag (medium-large size) that cost less. It has various pockets and zips and I can store lots of different items in it. Like you said a gusset would be more practical. It’s a nay from me!
Julia, you're very much a practical person like me! 😃It's definitely a bit of a "statement piece" I think...for a special occasion, not an everyday carry I would suggest. I'm currently on the hunt for a new handbag and it is proving to be quite the challenge. For the size, quality of the leather and limited nature I can see where the cost comes from. How many people are willing to pay that much though is quite a different story. Mind you there are only 9 left on their Aussie website! They have a smaller one with a gusset which resembles a phone pouch which could be a little more versatile? It holds five fountain pens and a phone. For the pen-atic with everything? 😉💕Louise
I think you, like myself, are a bit of a maximalist when it comes to on the road journal supplies, maybe this is perfect for embracing a minimalist journal outing? 🤔😆 How do I pick only two pens though? 💕Louise
😃 Oh critterpaws...I'm hoping we get some hot suggestions in the comments! At this point I can only suggest a notebook/journal and a couple of favourite pens as a quick meeting kit or solo minimal journalling outing. It is very chic looking, I'd have to dress up to go out with it! 😆💕 Louise
Ooooh 🤩 that's exciting, planning a trip, and the stationery/journal to take! Do you use a junk journal style of your travel journals or a different style? Hope you found this video helpful, I have a sequel where I talk about what I used and what I didn't too. 😃💕Louise
It's a quirky one isn't it!? 😆 I really like the imagery in it but the quotes are ...unfortunately I have since developed a lovely throat infection and am scoffing down antibiotics for the first time in years. Hoping to film this weeks prompt when my voice returns 😢 Thank you so much for watching SquibbleDesign! 💕Louise
Thanks Nina! It was quite awhile ago but it definitely made an impression on me! We did the very touristy paddle steamer trip as well on the mighty Mississippi (sp?) It was very cool though. Hopefully I can get back to a more regular reviewing schedule again, I'm still a bit behind. 🤪💕 Louise
Hi Judi! Thank you so much for watching 😄 I don't have a video on stamp carving...I think? 🤔 I'm no expert but what I do is either draw or print a design that I want to make into a stamp then transfer it onto some carving rubber (just cheap stuff from Amazon) and then carve out the "empty" spaces with a lino carving tool. I use a Speedball brand. Then I stamp over and over and carve off the bits that are too high each time, till I'm happy with the result. I should try to do a little video showing my process! ☺️ 💕Louise
Thanks Julia! I guess we have to expect some "filler" quotes but it is a tad disappointing when there are lots of good ones in there as well. I'm feeling a lot better now...I just really should have gotten some rest but who has time for that! I need to check in with Silvia about SEQJK as I have been very off line the last few months...but we do have a room booked for August...I remember that much! 😆💕Louise
@@coffeeteapaper You're welcome Louise. Yes we do, most of the quotes have been great. Glad you're feeling better... it's hard to rest with so much that needs doing. When I'm really sick I do the bare essentials and try to rest in between jobs. It helps. It's great the room is booked... you've done well 😃 Julia❤
Hello Louise. I am on holiday in Cornwall, it’s coming up to our 50th wedding anniversary so we are kind of retracing our original honeymoon, so this is our Golden Honeymoon ! ❤️ So I am not creating at all, just collecting stuff for my travel journal when I get home. 🤪 I agree with you about the quote …my hair would not be this colour without a bit of help😀 I too have a cold and I too am wearing a denim shirt….all I need now is kitchen renovation 🤣 Have a good week x 👍
Oooh Jean! Congratulations...50 years...that is no mean achievement! What a wonderful way to celebrate as well. Are you visiting the same places and recreating any photos of note? At least you are collecting as you go for your journal, depending on the pace of travel or if it is just the two of you I think that can be easier. Funny that we are twinning..though it's winter here and summer there, I feel for you having a summer cold, I think they're definitely worse than the winter versions for some reason. Hopefully it doesn't put a dampener on your trip. I'm glad you feel the same about the quote 😊💕Louise
@@coffeeteapaper We are visiting some of the same places but also some new ones too…… I have a carrier bag full of bits and bobs…some bought, some begged and some slyly picked up 😉it will no doubt take me a long time to catch up with it all once I get back to my travel journal. 🌻 Jean 🌱
Yes Lyn, definitely!! I actually prepare our family home movie first then strip out us and use the film to share here. So I have my family all asking when the next "episode" is coming out. I've been slack on all fronts 🤭 They are keen to relive our holiday memories too. I will get there...I'm setting myself the goal of before the September school holidays to wrap up a bunch of things. Wish me luck! 🤞🏼😃💕Louise
Thank you Ros...yes it's been nuts since March around here, I am very much looking forward to a return to normal programming! Plus not having people in my home everyday...😬 it's sad when I realise I haven't even had the time to look on Instagram which always gets my creative juices flowing. Soon!!! 😃💕Louise
Thank you so much for watching SquibbleDesign! You can probably guess my delayed reply that a relaxing week was not to be found 😆 however, I did achieve a lot that needed to be done. Now I just have to stop falling asleep as soon as I get into bed so I can catch up on your videos...the thumbnails keep teasing me! Now that the Tour De France is finished I can go to bed at a reasonable time which should help! 😂💕Louise
Thank you Sherry! Yes it was a fun way to take journal supplies with me but to still have the element of surprise. I think she was very gentle with me though...she could have thrown me some real curve balls if she'd felt like it! 😆 PS: Your mail is finally on the way now too...hopefully it will be with you in a week or so 🤞🏼😊💕Louise
Hi Louise, I am catching up on all your videos this morning. Your kitchen and laundry look absolutely amazing! It must feel so wonderful to have it all done, now you can sit back and enjoy it all. Take care my friend xx
Hi Jayne! Thank you so much for watching and you are right...it does feel wonderful and it is such a relief. We knew we had this big project in front of us for so long and were dreading it, but it had to be done. Now I need to catch up on pen pal letters, videos, plus plus! 😅💕Louise
Oh Lyn she did dint she! 😅 She was a bit worried I might not like her choices but I think she knows my style even better than she thinks. It was fun too! 😃💕Louise
Thank you Jean! She really chose very nicely and made it easy TBH!! 😆 We've had a lovely relaxing time, I don't think we realised how much we needed the time away. Thank you so much for watching! ☺️💕 Louise
I’ve just got the unfettered flight ink, and I agree with everything you’ve said in this review. The shimmer is inconsistent and only really stays for the first couple of words before it wears off, leaving you with a pale (barely legible) ink base. I’m quite disappointed as it looked completely different on their sample! Not worth the £20 in my humble opinion. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😊
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave your comment Kuggsbuggs. Its comments like yours that make my day, I love looking at inks and sharing my thoughts so I appreciate the feedback. Hoping to bring you more inky reviews very soon. Thank you for subscribing too! 🥰💕 Louise
Thank you Sherry! The show must go on! 😆 I am lucky to have a daughter interested in journal keeping and even though our styles are very different, she chose very astutely for me. It was fun to journal with unseen supplies as well as the card, but I think she went easy on me! 😆💕Louise
Hello Julia! No not a rainforest but we did see monkeys! I share where I went in tonights video. Back home now and life is finally starting to resemble our normal! 😆💕 Louise
Hi Mon!! You and me both! I still haven't edited my final part of my trip to share and I've just returned from a little 2 week holiday. Where does the time go? 😅💕Louise
Your pouch looks amazing! Unfortunately I had to remove the pattern because some folks used it for nefarious purposes 😢 but I did put the video itself back up. I love the fact that you were able to use items on-hand and didn’t have to purchase anything❤
Oh that is disappointing to hear. 😔I really enjoyed sewing the pouch and found your instructions to be excellent. Thanks so much for watching and your kind words. 😊💕Louise
Both your journal pages are aesthetically pleasing. They are stunning Louise. It was a joy to decorate my journal with you. Thank you and have a lovely weekend 🌷🌿🌼
I loved reading about Brené Brown! What an amazing and inspiring woman. 😃 After looking her up I think I’ve seen her many books but hadn’t recalled based on her name alone. I really love when the cards give me interesting homework. 😄💕Louise
Thanks Nikki! We can’t believe it…we feel very fancy! 😆😂 what we’re loving, apart from how it looks, is that it takes so much less time to prepare meals and tidy up. The functionality is 100 times better. You can’t buy time but we’re managing to find more in our new space 😃💕Louise
It IS exciting isn’t it! 😄 it’s the promise of creative opportunities on the pages! Thank you for your lovely words, I really do appreciate them! 😃💕Louise
Thank you Jane! You’re right it is a beautiful space … now! We’re amazed at how much easier and quicker it is to prepare meals and tidy up too. Aesthetic and functional! 😃💕Louise
Lovely to see your kitchen finally finished. It looks amazing. I can’t believe we are halfway through he year! I have really enjoyed these videos. I am sure you will enjoy cooking up a storm and enjoying your new coffee machine and set up. Hopefully there will still be time for journaling 😂
Thanks Ros! It’s been a ride but we’re so amazed by how much quicker and easier it is to prepare meals and tidy up. So there should definitely be more time for journaling! 😃 I’m looking forward to a far more relaxed second half of 2024 with more down time to do the things I enjoy. I still have new goodies from my birthday that I haven’t even opened …so sad!! The coffee machine is 5 years old but I did give a deep clean for its new purpose built home in the kitchen. It’s a crucial part of our routine for sure! 🤣 💕Louise
Thank you Lyn! It’s nice to mix up colour palettes out of the usual. I am actually looking forward to doing washing 😂🤣 because it’s so much easier and comfortable. Everything takes much less time too so we’re very pleased with the functionality too. You’re right, they are now beautiful rooms. 😊💕Louise
I enjoyed watching you decorate your journal page. It’s pretty 💖 So so happy your kitchen and laundry renos are done. Yayyy 🎉 It looks amazing and very beautiful. Your laundry is massive compared to mine. Enjoy the new areas in your home. You got there in the end 👏👏
Thank you so much Julia. We're happy that we're 98% done, just a couple of bits and bobs to sort out now. We're so happy with how it has turned out. The laundry is now so useful. Combining that dinky little laundry space and the storage room into one has been a game changer! So much more practical. Thank you for following along and your words of encouragement along the way! 😊💕Louise
@@coffeeteapaper You’re most welcome Louise. Wonderful to hear you’re very happy. Happy to send words of encouragement. I know what reno life feels like 💙💕 Julia
Your kitchen looks fabulous! And I love your relaxing page, music, voice vibe x Have a good week…. We finally got some lovely weather for the summer solstice here in the UK so off to the Lake District for a little trip out …. hope it’s not too busy as it’s not school hols yet. Take care til the next one! X
Thank you so much Jean! It does feel very special to use...even cleaning it is fun! 🤭 I hope you have a wonderful time at the Lake District and the weather holds for you. 😃💕 Louise
Louise, your kitchen is stunning and I’m sure you will enjoy it for many years to come. Can you send me another way to get you my address. I tried Instagram but I don’t think it worked.
Hi Sherry! We're very happy with the end result, its totally met all our expectations. If you could email me at coffeeteapaper@bigpond.com with your address I can get your mail on its way to you as I haven't had anything through instagram. ☺️💕Louise
Wow! Your kitchen/laundry room is wonderful! Just beautiful! I know you will enjoy it! Love your journal page too! Still can’t believe the year is half over!
Thank you Regina! It's been a ride but it is so much more functional and cooking is enjoyable again! This year has been going so fast, but thank goodness we still have a whole more 6 months to enjoy! 😃💕 Louise
Hi I would love to know how to become a member of your Journal Keeper meet up group please. Your meet ups sound amazing and would love to meet like minded people who love journaling and all things related. 😊0:22
Hello Leanne!! That would be wonderful! Please DM myself @coffee_tea_paper or Silvia @artlife.journal through Instagram and we can go from there. We do have fun at our meet ups and even a little journaling takes place in between all the excited stationery chatter. 😆 We would love for you to join us. 💕Louise
