I don't really do this often, but when i make videos, i do it ad-lib, unscripted and unedited, partly because i do not really have the time to edit and partly because i guess it all sounds authentic that way.
I am not a professional streamer or gamer. I am just an amateur guy. 100% amateur.
I record whatever games i play but my favorite ones are Forge of Empires, Diablo and Starcraft 2.
interesting vid, unless they have been buffed, zerglings kinda felt weak when i played starcraft 2 back in wings of liberty. guess they must have been buffed?
Battlecruisers are probably one of the top 3 units in the game that the base armor and damage upgrades matter most on, especially in a head-to-head. It has fast, low damage attacks, so the extra damage from those upgrades piles up quickly and can switch targets almost instantly. And armor is most effective against fast, low damage attacks, so additions to its base armor let its massive health pool tank an incredible number of shots from unupgraded cruisers.
Vikings have a longer range so they should kite. So 1 viking is in range and the void ray stops to shoot it the second viking should be further away so it can get more shots off and kill the void ray before it engages .
@@GabaGhoul0 once the Voidray is locked on, kiting is pointless. The Viking wont be able to accelerate fast enough and the Voidray lock on range is actually higher than its attack range. Basically once the viking is being attacked its better to leave it and micro the rest (which is rly hard btw). Source: many viking monobattles :D.
someone posted i should do something with roaches and tunneling so i tried So you got trolled and decided to troll us. Well done, something which can't be said about your micro.
If the tank placement was the same in all tests it would be much better - in particular the second-to-last test had the tanks completely blocking the checkpoint, reducing the surface area for the zerglings significantly. It might be best to just start with them sieged.
If it happens in a chokepoint where the Zerglings can't flank around the Zealots will easily win, maybe still keeping half of Zealots or perhaps a little less to Lings having Adrenaline glands. However even with Adrenaline glands the Zealots would still win simply to having a chokepoint
@@t0k3p0k3 So in this clip there is a 4 to 1 ratio to the Zealots, If the chokepoint is still 10 Zealot wide and is enough to prevent Zerglings from going around I think the lings would still win because theirs still a lot of excess lings that after even one Lot dies they can flood around and still win. However if we take this same ratio/upgrades into account when Zealots are behind and holding a mineral line and are perfectly on Hold Position where only 1-2 lings can attack at once then theirs a much likelier chance that the Zealots will win. However Adrenaline Glands still practically does over half the fighting so-to-speak for the Zerglings because Lings without Adrenaline are only good for soaking/distracting units but when upgraded are too good not to use alongside a good composition of Zerg units. However ultimately this would all need to be put into practice inside a game able to consistently give back proper results. Hopefully this helps
In March, Protoss has won 55% of the games against zerg - and 47% against Terrans - yet the comments here are shouting that Protoss is unplayable and weak. Alright then.
@@JamesTheEighth8 I'm not entirely sure where aligulac gets it, but I think it's tournament results (all levels of tournaments, but still higher end players)
Yeah but in the case of zealots vs lings, the zealots dies to other troops less, and lings die easier across the board, so if we're talking 1 to 1 sure, theres a disconnect, but in context of sc2 balance? I say its perfectly fine balance and its unfair if we just saw it at face value with nothing else as a factor
Also, adrenaline is a very late game upgrade. Zealots just don't have one and generally fall off late game in terms of cost efficiency. It's not balance its design
Bad example, 4 Zealots were hiding in lower rows, unable to attack while Zerglings surrounded on top and then move down. Zergs would probably win anyway but the difference would be closer..
It is at your face bro. Lings are faster than zealots. It´s clear that they will engage quicker and surround first. I always knew that lings full upgraded are better that zealots full upgraded if you have enough surface area. Zealots only can win if in chokes. Basically almost always lings >>> zealots. Thats why you have sentries to make force fields.
@@alexandremeirelles896 So instead on rushing on Lings (what does it give on melee fighters but breaking the line?) you could hold Zealots in 1 pile and with every loss move them to the middle to prevent surrounding. In the same value there is much more zergs than protoss so this way some Lings would not engage.
This sums up Protoss in the current Metta. Thors beat every protoss unit 1v1. Ghosts remove all energy and shields. Vipers counter EVERY protoss unit that's not a zealot/stalker. Zealots can't even get efficient trades vs zerglings. Low key ridiculous
actually from pro matches ive watches, protoss has best late game along with zerg. skytoss is very strong late game, especially when transitioning from ground and making the enemy commit to a ground game. Also ghosts can get feed backed or abducted it all comes down to timing and skill when it comes to casters
Im so tired of this, protoss has nothing in their arsenal that is to be actually feared, terran and zerg are ahead in terms of every comp, unit, counter and part of the game.
Protons is the "special tactics" (c) race. Anyway you never have so many t1 units without t2 support. Zealot run by's are still stronger the ling run by's. Great mineral dump without larvae loss.
you should watch some pro matches, id say protoss and zerg are usually the ones that win the most engagements, especially late game toss is good, dont let the video get you down, its only showing a battle in terms of cost effectiveness, realistically in a match you would use choke points against lings and with mixed comps, force fields or colossus will take care of zergling. the real threat comes from banelings, those things are way to strong.
