Warwick is a plate-glass university and by no means better than Edinburgh or St Andrews. Both Edinburgh and St Andrews are the ancient universities and are more prestigious than Warwick. Even King's/Durham is far above Warwick. It is popular because of its overhyped Warwick Business School, which is full of London rejects. Don't trust the national league tables like the Guardian or Complete University Guide - using student satisfaction and student survey as ranking indicators are unreliable. The University of Edinburgh QS World University Rankings 2024: #22 THE World University Rankings 2023: #29 Academic Ranking of World Universities 2022: #35 U.S. News & World Report - Best Global Universities Rankings 2022-23: #34 University of Warwick QS World University Rankings 2024: #67 THE World University Rankings 2023: #104 Academic Ranking of World Universities 2022: #101-150 U.S. News & World Report - Best Global Universities Rankings 2022-23: #163 Not to mention Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, while Warwick is a small town in Coventry. Edinburgh is ranked top 50 in the 4 major global league tables. The UK government would only consider QS THE ARWU for work visa and immigration.
I absolutely agree with you on all of those points but my reasons for choosing one of the others go beyond their rankings and global recognition. By no means am I saying that one university is better than the other because everyone has different metrics of judgment. My course at Warwick was the most aligning with my professional goals, learning style and values, which led to this decision. All the best to you and I hope I made my point clear :)
Can we apply to Oxford, Cambridge, ucl, university of Warwick or Manchester without ielts? By showing the proof of English proficiency based on 10th and 12th ssc board marks??
@@r.nithishkumar9427 Warwick is great nationally but is not a global international university like Edinburgh. Edinburgh is usually in top 15 or so world wide and is well known around the world - beating many Ivy league universities. On wall street, in US and East Asia people will know of Oxbridge and Edinburgh mainly. Warwick is more just well known in UK. Also Edinburgh university is in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Warwick is in Coventry, a small place and the area is not nice. Warwick is still a great university but Edinburgh is better option for living and global recognition
@@dac8939 However I had heard housing in edinburgh can be a tad pricey. St Andrews is a well-regarded uni in a smaller town about 30-45 minutes-ish out of edinburgh and trains are frequent to edinburgh from leuchers.
@@ametrinemoon St Andrews is also highly regarded university and beautiful location. Either will do well. Although, on global stage Edinburgh is most well known. Oxbridge and Edinburgh are probably the three most well known universities from UK globally.
