I read the book and I was disappointed in some of their reactions to things while going through Ukraine and a few of those countries don’t they like dogs because their reaction was cruel dogs have feelings what if that had been a human would they have reacted in such a flippant way I was enjoying this book I’m don’t think I will read it now it’s a shame because I just bought it

While watching Long Way Up’s first episode I genuinely got concerned that they couldn’t get Claudio back to film, but then he showed up half way through and I was like thank god lol
As with everybody else in the comments section, i remember this broadcast vividly... For those outside of the UK (or too young to remember), this was back in a time of four terrestrial television channels. no satellite / cable (Sky was a couple years away), and no rolling 24hr news channels. We only got our news at 6pm and 10pm! Newsround was a news show for children, as part of the Childrens BBC slot from around 3:45pm to 5:30pm. Newsround came on around 5pm, so in essence, it got the 'scoop' on this sad story before the mainstream, serious news broadcasts did.
The time to quit smoking is now. If you slip and start again then quit again. I quit a dozen times. Once for 12 years and started again. It's easy to quit. It's hard to stay quit. Harder than that is getting COPD when you're 60. I know.
@BilgemasterBill Hey I just watched an interview with him here on RU-vid. In the first couple minutes of it he talked about what happened to the bike. Apparently the just gave it to the American embassy in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Then a few years later it was sold in a charity auction and some Australian mining executive bought it.
